Fighting for First, with starters Kluber and Carrasco missing in action, Bauer traded, and Clevinger missing half the year.
And their offense is lackluster, having lost their best player, Brantley, to free agency.
Great job by Francona.
Incidentally, Clevinger was in A ball with the Angels, went to Cleveland for Pestano, tore up the minors, and has been solid in the majors.
You never know how these low level guys are gonna turn out.
Those Amazing Indians!
Re: Those Amazing Indians!
So true, which is what baffles me about why a team would give up such a similar player with more control (Gilbeau) plus another prospect for Roenis.

Re: Those Amazing Indians!
actually, i was thinking its the amazing Mets...see if they can make the playoffs
The Mets have never climbed above a .700 second-half winning percentage, the high of .671 coming 50 years ago, the sainted 1969 squad. The 2019 Mets begin a nine-game homestand Tuesday with an MLB-best .706 win percentage (24-10). The Yanks at .684 (26-12) are second.
Re: Those Amazing Indians!
The Nationals needed a veteran presence in the bullpen to shore up a playoff berth.
It’d be great to see the Nats beat out Philly after losing Harper to em!
