Oh... fuck me right?

Ogles said Trump "has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal."

"To that end, I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms," Ogles said. "This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs."

"Trump made comments about serving a third term to House Republicans during a closed-door speech late last year, but multiple sources who attended the event told Fox News Digital that the then-president-elect was joking."

We can only wish!

Would take more than a 51-49 type vote though, so I doubt it would ever actually happen.

Seems more like a trolling move to get the libs' panties in a bunch.

But, to answer your question, YES!

I am absolutely against ANY President getting a 3rd term.

We also need term limits for congress.

Agreed, Dawg. We desperately need limits on how many years any individual can serve in Congress. I figure 18 is about right. But then we also need to limit the number of years any bureaucrat can serve in Government. I'd give them 20, with the caveat that none of them can work for any lobby! We need to get the FED back to serving the people and not thenselves!

I wonder how things would have turned out if there had been term limits in 1940 and Wendell Willkie had been elected President. Probably about the same, although he died of a heart attack in 1944 (which could have been sooner or not at all if he got the medical care required).

As I've said before, he's as unhinged as you are..... except in the opposite direction. The difference is, he doesn't troll around the boards to start fights with me.

A constitutional amendment to allow for a third term won't even pass congress since it requires a two thirds majority in both houses. And even if it did somehow get through the congress, it wouldn't get ratified by 3/4 of the states.

However, a constitutional amendment to eliminate birthright citizenship might get through. The odds would still be against it, but I think it would be a much closer call.

The difference being that I haven't been banned 14 times on Twitter. I don't make any of this part of my identity or existence.

This man lives and breaths insanity.

I simply call out the hive-mind nonsense on this board. Your natural instinct is to attack the stance that is opposite yours... just like me... and just like almost all consersvatives on this board do to all liberals.

The fact that a Republican would even think to propose it and a good portion of the base supports it says volumes.

I really don't care that it wouldn't pass. The fact that it's even in question only adds fuel to dictatorial Trump flames.
