Okay, put yourself in Arizona's shoes. If you were the Arizona GM, would you make those trades? If you were a D-Backs fan, would you want your GM to make those trades? Also, consider the offers that other franchises will be making.
Got for way less than I even thought.
Yeah, I wonder what the other teams offered. They couldn't top Locklear?
Locklear is a stud he is a top 1oo who made an adjustment and is now hitting average exit velocity of about 95MPH!

Cal is at 92 for the year

T Lock is once again a legit top 100 prospect and with the adjustment I'd re-rank as of today in the M's top 7.

Screw it why not. Emerson Ford & Sloan & Peete for Skenes. Maybe throw in McGraw too. Why not. Not like he's re-signing with them anyways.

Not even remotely close. Skenes would take a Soto+ package 3-4-5-6 top 100's depending on if it was a top 10 prospect headline or,

OK throw Laz in there too along with Cijntje I don't care. Then flip Castillo in the offseason. Skenes/Kirby/Gilbert/Woo.

I don't think you get it. Skenes is one of the most valued players on the planet. He is a CY candidate that makes nothing per year.

When we traded for Luis Castillo who was the top pitcher that year but he was so much inferior to Skenes it is laughable, and Luis was already getting paid with just 1.5 years of controle. Skenes is already the best pitcher baseball. He leads in ERA+ and he is on min wage.

MLB trade calc has him at about 140 million. I think I could find 140M i value and they would say no.

But yes,

Locklear is almost 25. He's hardly even a prospect anymore at that age. Numbers look good for sure but the League wide OPS in the PCL is over .800 and they average 5.97 runs per game. Its really hard to gauge how PCL numbers translate particularly for a player as old as Locklear. At ages 21 and 22 Kelenic put up OPS's of 1.042 and .920 with 27 HR in 116 games.
