Evans alone is an overpay. They wouldn't laugh at that. Bliss and Ward are just filler Pieces with MLB experience that can fill some holes short term. If they want a player like Evans they aren't going to get anything else of value in addition.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Jul 29, 2025 1:27 amYeah Bliss and Taylor are worthless so they would laugh at that.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 11:26 pmI dont think that Arizona would even consider making either of those trades, Cap. I know I wouldn't if I was them. Evans is the only one who's given any real indication that he'll be a regular MLB player.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 11:22 pmHows this for a plan
Danny Coulombe for Jeter Martinez
Eugenio Suarez & Shelby Miller for Logan Evans, Ryan Bliss and Troy Taylor.
Gets our man Geno and Adds a righty and a lefty to the pen each of whom have an ERA below 2 and a WHIP below 1. Costs us Evans as a prize piece but Bryce Miller is throwing again and about to start his rehab stint so it seems like he should be back soon. This also Keeps all of the top prospects intact.

Just make an elite albeit overpriced offer for Duran, Coulombe, & Castro & call it good.

Evans and Ford would be about equal value according to BTV They will probably ask for more might have to add someone like Peete.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 29, 2025 4:01 amJust make an elite albeit overpriced offer for Duran, Coulombe, & Castro & call it good.

Re: Final Trade Deadline Plan
If Geno is not in the cards, I'm blowing up Cleveland & Pittsburgh's phones & see what they'll take for JRam & Cruz/Bednar. I'd love the Cruz/Bednar combo but I'd settle for JRam. As it stands right now Cleveland has almost no chance at the division & currently 4 GB for the 3rd wild card slot. Clase is dealing with his issues, the only issue with them is JRam got a full no trade. With Cleveland probably out of it in the division & teetering towards missing out on the 3rd wild card spot would it make sense to place a call & see what their asking price is. They also have Kwan who has some of the best contact in the game. All's I know is if I can get a twofer I'm doing that all day. We all know Pittsburgh don't like to pay their guys, I mean chances are Skenes is gonna walk when he hits FA. Again I don't think it happens & while I'd certainly love to have both guys, I would certainly settle for Bednar. JRam just destroys our division (except for us ironically).

Saw this idea.....what do you think? Worth it?
Joe Ryan and Griffin Jax from MN to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for top prospects Harry Ford, Felnin Celesten, and Tyler Locklear.

Yes. I've been wondering if they would consider making an offer on Joe Ryan, who would instantly be the best pitcher on our staff. I'd prefer Duran to Jax but either is fine.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Tue Jul 29, 2025 2:49 pmhttps://www.newsweek.com/sports/mlb/joe ... ne-2105432

Throw in Emerson & you may have something there. Maybe another pitcher as well.GL_Storm wrote: ↑Tue Jul 29, 2025 4:50 pmYes. Okay, put yourself in Arizona's shoes. If you were the Arizona GM, would you make those trades? If you were a D-Backs fan, would you want your GM to make those trades? Also, consider the offers that other franchises will be making.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 29, 2025 3:50 amEvans alone is an overpay. They wouldn't laugh at that.
