He's more than a "decent" defender

Until you have someone significantly better than him to take his spot, he's a perfectly competent player to roster given the rest of the team's makeup. You don't need to have an AS at every spot in the lineup. Williamson contributes by playing exceptional defense (ranked 2nd in the sport at 3b in def run saved) and giving you quality ABs. He's actually been fairly clutch down in the order. He's also quite good on the bases.

And by significantly better, I mean someone who at least holds his own defensively (above league avg) so as not to be a total drop off and offers another .100+ pts in OPS
