This is basically how I feel about it. I think DiPoto is squarely in the fat part of the bell curve. He has some strengths and some weaknesses. Two x factors that he has to deal with are the ownership group and the ballpark, which seems to distort both pitching and hitting to varying degrees.

The problem with the ownership group is that they appear to be so hands off that I don't trust any process they would engage in to find a new GM/PBO type. One positive change they could make is to put in place a CEO to oversee both baseball and non-baseball operations.
