This is basically how I feel about it. I think DiPoto is squarely in the fat part of the bell curve. He has some strengths and some weaknesses. My position is simply that if and when they switch GMs, I won't be expecting any monumental shifts in the on-field product. I think all the GMs are pretty much playing the same game with similar approaches.
The problem with the ownership group is that they appear to be so hands off that I don't trust any process they would engage in to find a new GM/PBO type. One positive change they could make is to put in place a CEO to oversee both baseball and non-baseball operations.
