Really good team performance from the USA - feel sorry for the lad sent off. No malice intended, but sadly that kind of contact on the achilles has ended careers down the years and is always seen as a red card.

But to score again with 10 men was impressive and a thoroughly professional showing.

Next up Belgium for your lot in Seattle, we're off to Mexico.

Absolute nonsense from FIFA.

First of all - I agree that the sending off was harsh in the first place.

But this Article 27 is completely arbitrary and there is no due process. In every other competition, there is a process to appeal a red card and have it overturned. But FIFA can just decide who they like and who they don't make their own decisions with their usual corruption.

None of the other 11 red cards have been overturned - do you see what this looks like?

As I say the red card was harsh, but you can still say it was also a justifiable refereeing decision and he should face a ban like the other 11 players have.

Very dodgy.

That being said, who gives a shit - you've benefitted from FIFA's corruption - take it and go on and win. Your own team isn't corrupt and deserve the best chance possible. I hate Belgium and hope you stuff them.
