Well... I would have liked to see him consistent in the 3.75 ERA range... not the 4.25. Like not giving up 5+ every third start.
Yeah, but that isn't who he was. He's a 3-4 starter. Overpaid, but a legit 3-4 starter. You can't expect a 3.75 ERA for that. 3.75 would put him #13 in the AL, a borderline #1 guy. Add it was, he was top 18 in the AL

Many pitchers will have 4-5 great starts, then 2-3 horrible starts. Leake had about 5-6 average starts, then a great start, then a horrible start, then 4-5 more average starts. He gave the team a chance to win most games he starts by going 6-7 innings giving up 3-4 runs.
Well I'm thinking best case scenario for Leake was needed if the pitching staff was going to perform at a decent level.

He had seasons of 3.86, 3.37, 3.70, 3.92... it's not that he's incapable. He hasn't been close to his best in Seattle.

Both are less than 1.5 hours from the Ocean. Can't imagine. I started my seafood love affair when I was about 11 or 12.
She doesn't eat Chinese either, or sushi, or steak.
Wow. My wife doesn't like sushi or Chinese either but that is about it. Steak? I have never heard of a non vegetarian or vegan not like steak.
She always asks where I want to eat. I tell her that I'll eat wherever, you are the picky one.

Mike Zunino is hitting at a .169 clip starting this game.... what a waste of a draft choice he turned out to be... I'm wondering if the M's even considered drafting Corey Seager at the time.....
Being turned into a Draft choice that netted us Mallex Smith and Jake Fraley? Jury's still out brother on that one brother.

Juror is still out on Fraley. Hopefully Mallex gets life without the possibility of parole.

Don't forget we also lost Plassmeyer, who has been really good this year. I don't think Plassmeyer has a very high ceiling, but I could see him turn out like Yarbrough. Lefty that maybe doesn't have the most electric stuff, but performs everywhere he goes. 2.00 ERA between A and High A this year, only 105 K in 126 ip. 1.05 WHIP. Probably a decent chance to be a #4 or #5 starter. I'll take Fraley over him though, and I'll definitely take Mariners catchers over Zunino right now. So far Mariners are ahead in the trade, but still a long way to know for sure.

Anybody seen this article? Lou has a role as well as Goose Gossage and Pete Rose. Its about HR's v. small ball, stolen bases, moving runners, etc. Interesting read.

I say no courtesy win tomorrow, let's sweep these guys right out of their own mausoleum they call a ballpark.
