Man its amazing what happens when you have three hot power hitters in the middle of the lineup.
If we had ANY pitching. We'd be a .500 team lol. But pitching, we have not.

The bullpen has been much better lately, and surprise, the M's are winning some games. Starting pitching has been the biggest problem this year though, and I didn't expect that before the season started. I didn't expect lights out, but I expected much better.

Actually you should do what I suggested last time. Kids will love it.

https://www.argosycruises.com/argosy-cr ... excursion/
A bit too expensive for 4 of us to go, plus I have to do CME for the first half of the day and don't get out until 12:40.

Edit, actually, looks like they have a later one that leaves at 4:30, but don't think we want to spend that much.
You only live once brother. I guarantee in 5 years you will remember that excursion more than the $100 bucks or whatever you saved.

It all kind of fell on Marco bombing after a hot start and Leake's inconsistency. What is interesting, however, is that the M's really started to bomb when Wade went down with an injury and they had to once again fish for a 5th starter. Eric Swanson was never the answer and I think our thin starting rotation put a strain on Kikuchi they weren't anticipating... then again, playing with fire anticipating Felix was gonna stay healthy was something none of us had faith in. The boat was always going to massively sink or just barely swim... and unfortunately it sunk like a 1912 boat in the Atlantic.

Marco had a 2.80 ERA through his first 7 starts. That ballooned to 4.77 over his next 7. He started 5-0... fell to 5-6 and boom, tank mode was on.

And lets just not talk about RJ Alaniz, Anthony Shitzack, Parker Markel, Matt Festa and Jesse Biddle

I think its funny that people call Leake inconsistent. You know exactly what he's going to give you. 60 % are average starts. 20 % are great, and 20 % are horrible. He's going to give you 200 innings an year, and 30 starts. He's been the same pitcher for years. Its LeBlanc that disappointed me. I hoped for him to be at least close to what he was last year.

Well... I would have liked to see him consistent in the 3.75 ERA range... not the 4.25. Like not giving up 5+ every third start.

Your wife hates seafood?! Where did she grow up? Hating seafood is like hating children.
Lacey, then Eugene.
Both are less than 1.5 hours from the Ocean. Can't imagine. I started my seafood love affair when I was about 11 or 12.
She doesn't eat Chinese either, or sushi, or steak.

Yeah, but that isn't who he was. He's a 3-4 starter. Overpaid, but a legit 3-4 starter. You can't expect a 3.75 ERA for that. 3.75 would put him #13 in the AL, a borderline #1 guy. Add it was, he was top 18 in the AL

Many pitchers will have 4-5 great starts, then 2-3 horrible starts. Leake had about 5-6 average starts, then a great start, then a horrible start, then 4-5 more average starts. He gave the team a chance to win most games he starts by going 6-7 innings giving up 3-4 runs.

Only two things I hate on the planet other than of course freakish organs and eyeballs and such are French's mustard and cucumber chip pickles.
