They'll just put Raley back at 1B with Robles in RF...
I don't know. Canzone has delivered a 135 OPS+ and Robles started off cold. It could be a platoon of Robles and Canzone.

Polo has been playing more 2B. I could see them hitting Raley DH vs RH pitching.

Yeah I'd assume next year we'd have Randy, Julio, Robles and Canzone in the OF with Raley penciled in at 1B.

It might be that Arroyo is moved to 1b. After trading Locklear, there really is no one at 1b until you get to Suisbel. 1b is a desert right now unless they resign Naylor.
You could probably play Laz there.
He has NEVER played there. If they won't him to play there don't you think he would have played there more than ZERO times?????

Canzone has and .851 OPS and a 4.3 WAR/600 right now. Robles had a terrible start to the season and Raley has had close to a lost season. I don't think they are just going to bench Canzone.

A lot of idiots have said that Laz doesn't have a position even though he has only played RF his entire pro career other and only has DHed 11 times.

Yet ironically now that Cole is locked into 2B it is Arroyo that doesn't have a position (he is playing 2B at Ark) He is 5'10" so a little short for 1B and he must not have the arm for 3B. Will be interesting to see what they do with him.

No way, he's done great. If he or Robles can still play all three outfield positions, they can finally do their DH rotation.

Raley's days in the OF are probably up if he stays with the team though. Maybe they'll move on from him. I'd just say he's probably penciled in at 1B going into 2026 if they don't extend Naylor or go after another upgrade this offseason.

Wouldn't they just platoon and have Robles play against Lefties? It's only in 25 at bats, but Canzone has an OPS of .699 versus Lefties and .882 against Righties. All his homers and all but one of his doubles are against Righties.

Agree on Raley which is crazy because he is a better OFer than 1B. Polanco is going to easily reach his 450 PAs vesting option so he will have a $8M player option. He will finish with about 2 WAR though which is about $16M value so he will probably opt to not exercise it and became and FA otherwise he will be the primary DH next season.

Last year Robles did better against righties than lefties, but the rest of his career he was better against lefties. I don’t think he should be a platoon against lefties only, but they could use another righty in the lineup against lefties. Hopefully he can come back and help in September
