Not by me he's not. I've got him in the 4th along with Nick Saldiveri, Tyler Steen, Jordan McFadden, T. J. Bass, and Braeden Daniel's.

Andrew Vorhees, Broderick Jones, Steve Avila, Nick Broeker, Ekiyor Jr., and Bradford are all ranked higher and I have that group going in the 3rd round.

I don't follow mock boards. I use their testing scores from the combine, along with their measurements and game tape, and for my own opinion. There's better options than O'Torrence in the 2nd. Trust me.
yeah, I'll admit I haven't watched any o-line tape on these guys, so I'm just going off what the "experts" are saying, but I'm gonna go ahead and trust everybody everywhere over you on this one

I'll watch o-line tape once we draft guys, 'cause right now there's just too many possibilities. What is it about Torrence you don't like?

The game film, and he has the wrong body type. He also had a horrible Senior Bowl week. He got used and abused.

Don’t believe the hype, on any prospect bro. Ekiyor is my favorite guard coming out, and the 3rd is about right for him.

What do you mean by hype? His reputation is built on his performance on the field.

When you say wrong body, you mean for the Hawks? You know Wyman likes him, thinks they should take him at 20, wrote an article about it. He is a big guy, road grader. He fits a particular style of line. I was wondering that about the hawks, he definitely wouldn't have fit in the past, does he now? I was wondering if Wyman took that into account, seems like he would understand that. But he is a very good lineman for the correct situation. He lost 10 pounds before the senior bowl, to show he could do it. There is an opinion he could fit a wider variety of lines at a lighter weight.

Well this guy seems to feel he can fit a variety of styles as is.
. Overall, Torrence has starter-level size, play strength and power, with the right demeanor to be a potential impact starter at guard in most schemes. Ideally, he would plug into a run and play-action focused offense that incorporates a healthy mix of gap concepts to suit what he does best and maximize his physical traits and skill set.
And this Senior Bowl deal, horrible week? I see positive reviews.
One of the most impressive players of the week has been Florida offensive guard O’Cyrus Torrence. In a recent practice recap, Jordan Reid of ESPN wrote about how impressive Torrence has been at the Senior Bowl. Here is what he had to say about the SEC guard:

“Florida interior offensive lineman O’Cyrus Torrence continued to look like a first-round player on Wednesday. He was my highest-ranked prospect coming into the week, and he has actually exceeded expectations. He showcased overwhelming power and the ability to anchor at the point of attack. Torrence projects as a mid-to-late Day 1 selection.
Article Senior Bowl winners at each position....That's his weakness pass blocking, if he has been showing ability at it during senior bowl week, that's significant
. IOL: O'Cyrus Torrence, Florida

When isolated in pass protection in one-on-one drills, Torrence stymied his opponents with a great anchor, base, power absorption and the controlled footwork to mirror. But he was at his best, creating consistent movement in the run game, using his strength and hand strength to move defenders off the ball and cutting off linebackers at the second level.
In the game he got flattened by Ivan Pace. That I believe raised eyebrows in terms of Pace, rather than Torrence, that was a great play by Pace

I don't know about the body type thing - I watched an interview with him the other day and he looked like a big kid that was in shape. The biggest thing for me is that he never gave up a sack in college, and was penalty free his senior year to boot. I'd much rather have a guy that does that than one that runs 0.1 second faster in the 40 and does 3 more reps on the bench. Bucky Brooks' latest mock has him going 13th overall, so putting him in the 4th round seems ridiculous.

Believe he's officially mocked 25th, which doesn't mean much, but he's looking to probably go latter part of the first round, or drop into the second. I could see his senior bowl solidifying his first round projections. If he impressed with his pass blocking ability

Don't understand what sexy has against him, his basic skills are really solid, there is nothing developmental about him, a good solid guard. His issues are being limited mainly due to his size. His ability to move in space, pass blocking.

Helps when you have the most athletic quarterback in recent memory.

Bucky also had us taking Carter at 5. Again. And Richardson falling to 20.

He’s not a first round talent. He’ll get pushed up there because he was a preseason darling and those kids don’t fall in mock drafts. He got schooled in the Senior Bowl practices. Got pushed back to where the quarterback would be in almost every rep. Yet those were called wins for him.

We have bigger needs than that. Let someone else try to unlock that somehow.

Hmmm. MAYBE we have bigger needs, but right now we have Phil Haynes starting at RG, so it's a pretty solid need. You continually say we need to draft a QB at 5, a position where we have a Pro Bowler and a recent 2nd round pick as a backup, yet guard isn't a need at 20 or 37?

Oh, and I'm not a believer in Brooks' mock, but Carter at 5 and Richardson at 20 is 10000x more plausible than Torrence dropping to the 4th.
