not a snowball's chance. maybe Brents at 52, but not any sooner. have we forgotten everything about JS/PC? if there's one pattern (besides getting cute before last year), it's cornerbacks late, not early.
I'd love Anderson, any of the top 4 QBs (and by that i dont mean Hooker), or a trade back ONLY if it brings enough tickets for next year's QB lottery, or some crazy haul like the PFN sometimes offers such as BOTH Derrick Brown and Brian Burns for that pick (if only it were that easy).![]()

great job by those guys hiding their interest - sending Detroit into a complete tailspin not being able to grab their guy at 6, and reportedly angering a lot of other teams that maybe would have traded up there for him. Not conventional wisdom to build a D from the outside in, or to upgrade nominal weaknesses (Left Corner) ahead of the glaring ones (interior line, both sides).
This piece on CBs has shattered my confidence on my first pick

but at least from the draft, only Young and perhaps Morris help out the run D. Sounds like Hall might be better at that than Taylor (who isnt?),but not better than Mafe or Nwosu. Was really hoping for Siaki Ika, but if we bring back Woods, maybe we'll manage. Thing is, now that we have (hopefully) TWO shutdown corners, the run D should get tested even more this year than last.D-train wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 3:19 pmWe added SIX new guys to the D Line so guessing they are thinking they upgraded it.57reasons wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 3:10 pmyeah my quote aged real well there didn't it! shows what i know.

Sure not expecting great run D but Wagner and his 90 PFF grade over Barton will help. As will Bush. Can't be worse than last season an if were close to average could be a top 10 defense with the improved D backfield.
