Yup! I liked Witherspoon a lot, IF we didn't go QB. I'm still shocked that Levis is on the board. But I love having Witherspoon on the team.

It's the Seahawks. Pete and John. Literally ANYTHING is possible - they're always about competing, so if they can throw an extra talented player into the mix, they will, and let them battle it out.

IMO, CB is not their first choice, but if it falls that way and the best player out there is Witherspoon or Gonzalez, they will for sure pick them. And it is entirely possible that it breaks that way. I don't think they have any real interest in the QBs, so their two targets are Anderson and Carter, and if Carter isn't really on the list, then CB could well be the move if Anderson goes.

not a snowball's chance. maybe Brents at 52, but not any sooner. have we forgotten everything about JS/PC? if there's one pattern (besides getting cute before last year), it's cornerbacks late, not early.
I'd love Anderson, any of the top 4 QBs (and by that i dont mean Hooker), or a trade back ONLY if it brings enough tickets for next year's QB lottery, or some crazy haul like the PFN sometimes offers such as BOTH Derrick Brown and Brian Burns for that pick (if only it were that easy).

I wouldn't say they aren't a priority, its Petes thing, he's the dback guru. I would have said he was more interested in building them than drafting them. I think it speaks to a lack of ego on Pete's part. He wasn't married to the idea he could drill lower rounds for this kind of talent.

Not sure what you mean but believe that's my point. I would have guessed Pete would be happy to just look for a player with the physical characteristics he likes, tall, long arms, and coach him up to be a great CB, rely on his coaching skills rather than needing to draft for it

great job by those guys hiding their interest - sending Detroit into a complete tailspin not being able to grab their guy at 6, and reportedly angering a lot of other teams that maybe would have traded up there for him. Not conventional wisdom to build a D from the outside in, or to upgrade nominal weaknesses (Left Corner) ahead of the glaring ones (interior line, both sides).
