Not me, I had Brooks over Queen. And I wanted to trade back because I wasn't in love with our picking spot in the draft. I'm a die hard LSU guy, and there was no way I was taking a 1-year wonder over Brooks. Overall I thought it was OK, but I did not care for that draft defensively.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 9:54 pmTwo things. I did NOT want a fucking MLB in the first round. Second? So many possibilities. Kafka would be cool. I was kinda into him if we didn't land MacDonald. But honestly, I just wanna see what Mike's new plan is going to be. I'm curious to see if he or John is the one that winds up picking the coach. I'm open to new ideas and learning about what our new HC is thinking and what plan he has going forward. I'd hate to force a square peg into a round hole and cry war or havoc for not getting MY preferred guy. I just hope he gets somebody he's on the same page with.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:06 pmWho do you want them to bring in as OC?Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:02 pmYEAH BABY!!!!!!! Seattle to hire Macdonald as their new head coach. So we'll go from having the oldest coach in the league to having the youngest.

100%. I haven't nearly studied the trenches yet, so I couldn't tell you apples from oranges. I've gone hard on QB's and WR's so far, and even dabbled a little in the RB and TE scouting area, only because I Play dynasty football. I'll be able to give a better sense of who I fall in love with as we get closer to the draft. I can say that this draft is LOADED with wide receivers and its got plenty of QB options. Not a year to take a RB, that being said, I love Ray Davis in the 5th round or later on from Kentucky. WR Ladd McConkey is also making a name for himself right now at the Senior Bowl practices. I knew he'd be a sleeper. His size and numbers are gonna make people miss out on him. He went to Georgia, where zero WR ever come from, because they run the ball so damn much. But the dude gets MASSIVE separation and runs perfect routes. Reminds me of Cooper Kupp in Julian Edelman's body.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:24 pmGotta look at NT too right if their there at 16 otherwise yeah I agree gotta look OG at 16 if not trade down. Depends on what happens in FA, that'll set the tone for what happens in April. I do think McD has definitely got pieces to work with here no question. But definitely gotta address that front 7 & OG. I just hope we can clear up enough Cap Space.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:20 pmI'm ok with a trade down, for the right price. As much as I love the QB's in this draft, none of the guys that I want are obtainable, except for Penix. And I think you could get him in the late 1st or early 2nd Round. That being said, I also think this is a good draft to address the trenches esoecially on offense. Our OL and DL sucks! If there is a good OL there at 16, I'm thinking about pulling the trigger and either plugging him in at G or Right Tackle.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 9:26 pmAnybody know how much cap space we can clear. I'd be good with one of Queen or Madubuike but would obviously prefer both. If Jamal retires, does that mean we still have a dead cap hit. Out with the old in with the new. Guarantee Schneiders guys are at the Senior Bowl taking a long look at the DL & LBs.
Anybody think a trade down this year is in the cards, that way we can recoup some picks, maybe the 2nd we lost for WIlliams?

Queen had a 73 PFF grade this season and Brooks was at 57Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:25 pmNot me, I had Brooks over Queen. Brooks has definitely not lived up to his potential. Still doesn't mean that I would've taken Queen over him. I wanted the 4 year starter. And still prefer it going forward. That being said, every now and then their are "outliers". WR Xavier Legette possibly being one of them this year. Hasn't done JACK until his final year in college. Now he's looking at a potential 1st or 2nd Round grade. Built like DK and AJ Brown.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:59 pmQueen had a 73 PFF grade this season and Brooks was at 57Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:25 pmNot me, I had Brooks over Queen. If it isn’t Kafka, my shout would be Tanner Engstrand, the passing game coordinator in Detroit. I’ve watched a few of his interviews and he seems incredibly bright, creative and you could maybe steal some of the ideas from the Lions offense even without having Ben Johnson. Take a look for yourself, I think he comes across well and he notes here that he’s spent a lot of time working with Detroit’s tight ends (Sam LaPorta just had a fantastic rookie season):Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:30 pmSo many possibilities. Queen was awful his first year or two so probably about equal value overall..Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 11:06 pmBrooks has definitely not lived up to his potential. Patrick Queen has been a BUST, up until this season.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:59 pmQueen had a 73 PFF grade this season and Brooks was at 57Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 10:25 pmNot me, I had Brooks over Queen.
