How exactly can you "rank" managers? It's virtually impossible to do. It just doesn't work like it does in football and basketball.

Which is true...Servais has two winning seasons in five years with Seattle, as the team has seemingly been caught in between going for it and rebuilding during his time. The expectations aren't very high in 2021 after consecutive losing seasons, but Servais will have the benefit of elite prospects like Jarred Kelenic arriving

That's not really what the question was, and you should have figured that out in less than one second.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 4:56 pmIt's the age we live in, google it, and someone will have ranked it for youDavidGee24 wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 4:47 pmHow exactly can you "rank" managers? Thanks! 5:30am in the UK, worth getting up at 3 for this one![]()

Let’s see how many game threads I make for the Detroit series next week. All of them 3:10am.

How did you discover us or were you already familiar with this quirky, anal and erudite Mariner forum?

Where in the UK are you? I have visited the UK once when my 29 year old son was 3. We, son Andrew, wife and I had many adventures while there.
In the town of Bath, a group of old men (now I'm probably "that" old man) invited me to play, and taught me how, lawn bowling. I was a The Natural!!!
And you?
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

From Manchester so a good 200 miles from Bath. The climate here I understand to be similar to Seattle only we have more rain. Been to the US about 10 times, mostly Florida with the kids, but more recently me and the wife like a trip to Vegas but don’t let that put you off me. I’ve told her she’s got to see where Greys Anatomy is made next time the world lets us come over.rockycola wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 8:36 pmSo, m.o.m.mostonmike wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 8:15 pm![]()

Coverage of baseball in the UK gave us just the World Series in the 90s, again in the early morning hours so I’ve always seen the business end of the season. As coverage has become better and the MLB app comes along it became time to pick a team. Our football (soccer) loyalties are handed down through generations as you would do with MLB but it’s not the case yet with US sports, other than I’m sure the Astros are universally hated.
If you remember Ichiro’s swan song in Tokyo against the As? It was shown live over here mid-morning and I watched the game. It went to extra innings and I got to thinking exactly what you said - this seems like an odd quirky team and now I watch as much as I can.
I’ve always thought phpBB forums which don’t take themselves too seriously but with a knowledge and passion are worth following but since there were none of them around I joined here instead
