Seattle is great this time of year but why ruin it by going to an M's game. If they are here until Wednesday have them do this. Awesome boat ride Salmon bake dinner and Indian Show all for less than the price of a worthless M's game. I've done it three times and everyone loves it.

I'll let them do their thing. They like to go to the arcade, got to a movie, and go to the game. They will then go eat at a restaurant we have here in PDX like cheesecake factory.

Should be able to find pretty cheap tickets now though. I bet they can get in for 30 bucks in the lower level.
LOL reminds me of the office when Michael Scott traveled to NYC from Scranton and was excited about all the great restaurants like Red Lobster and Bubba Gump Shrimp. Seeing movie on vacation is interesting as well. ;) Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Yeah. Its my wifes brothers and their dad. My MIL is quite old, and has a bad hip. She stayed with us for the week (Her parents came in from Utah).

I remember being on the Oregon Coast with one of her brothers on vacation, and he was so excited to eat at Sizzler

I ate at a Sizzler in Tacoma a couple years ago when I had to get my tires replaced on the trailer. It had been decades. Not exciting but not bad at all.

My all time favorite is when I see a family go through the Drive through at McDonalds and then park in the parking lot and eat in there car. I often wonder are they really too lazy to walk into the restaurant or do they consider eating in the car as some sort of fun adventure.

Nola with a .996 OPS after making his mlb debut as a 29.5 yo. Persistence rewarded.

Yeah, I'm not a food snob by any means. I'll eat almost anything, but when I'm on vacation, I want to try something that I can eat there, and nowhere else. Especially if its a coastal town. You don't go to Sizzler for seafood on a coastal town.

The Tillikum Village trip is a blast for people visiting this time of year. I work with Washington Water Trails to maintain the campsites and beaches on the northwest side of Blake, as well as other sites from here to the San Juans. That little island is pretty special.

My inlaws went to this series. Usually I'd be there with them, but to pay money, to go there, fight my almost 5 year old the whole time who doesn't yet have the attention to watch the game, watch the Mariners lose... I'll stay home and work. Save my vacation time for something more worthwhile.
Can't fathom why anyone other than players friends and relatives would go to an M's game right now.
I've attended regular season games in sold-out pennant chase atmoshpheres as well as last place, stadium 75% empty atmospheres. I definitely prefer the frenzied sell-outs, but I can also enjoy watching a game between two teams 20 games out of first place. It's still better than minor league ball. It was actually Dave Niehaus's specialty making losing seasons interesting. The games are always interesting; still lots of storylines including everything going on with the opposing team. Ticket prices on the secondary market are usually much cheaper during the losing seasons, so you can get a nice view to watch a generational talent like Mike Trout. Plus, you're gonna get to see Daniel Freaking Vogelbach live in the flesh. If you have little leaguers, then you're definitely going to want to take them to a couple games to help develop their passion for baseball. I used to think Spike Owen, Harold Reynolds, and Alvin Davis were the greatest players in the world.

Great play by Seager. His bat is wankin’, but his arm is rakin’.
