Neither are better than average imo. Neither will put you over the top. Both are about 0 WAR players. I just disagree with the premise that Beckham only struggled to hit because of inconsistent AB, because that simply isn't the case.

We get you dont like Beckham. I have zero doubt that Beckham would have a higher OPS than he does currently if he was an everyday player at this point after his change of scenery. He's hjt well enough all year, inconsistent at bats be damned.

Get him in the game. Every day.

You can't tell me that the Orioles would not have resigned Beckham if he was any kind of average. They hated his defense so much that they have a guy who is hitting .180 playing a majority of SS.... Beckham is horrid, Dee is better player
He was pretty injured that year (hence the 87 total games) playing in a lineup that featured the worst hitter in Major League history.

He also had an .871 the year prior... I think he's perfectly capable of .800 OPS seasons and at a good price, you take that at 2B or SS w/limited D.

These are the same people that think they should be platooning Vogelbach.

Not even sure why I bother wasting the keystrokes with you.

Dee Gordon sucks, Dylan Moore sucks and Tim Beckham sucks.
Dee Gordon sucks

Dylan Moore sucks

Tim Beckham has the ability to be passable and at a decent price.
There it is.

Dee Gordon is good at running but that is going with age. Bad at D, bad at hitting. Refer to Dyson/Figgins for future results.

Dylan Moore is perfectly replacement level. Util player.

Beckham is the only one of the 3 with ceiling left to achieve. Good 2B for a team like the Brewers.
Dee Gordon is fine at D. I don't think he's been great, but hasn't been anywhere near the gold glove type player he wad supposed to be imo. He doesn't walk enough for a speed guy, and hasn't been hitting that well.

Beckhams D is horrible. Maybe at 2B he hurts you less, but he makes bones plays from every position. His inability to find a pop up in the infield from 1B cost the Mariners a chance at extra innings a few games ago

This seems like such an obvious argument that it surprises me anyone doesnt understand.

So basic...

Beckham more than makes up for it with the bat. He's "fine" at 2B also, especially with the added offense.

Please link the post where anyone said Mariners should be platooning him. Everything I have seen is people who thought they should be letting him hit to figure out lefties. Once again changing facts to fit your narrative.
