I guess if there's one good thing about Toro, he hits at least half what he did in AAA, something that neither Trammell, Kelenic or Raleigh have done.

Here's my biggest concern. Losing Graveman hurts from a strictly pitching aspect. He's been amazing this entire season. But we have players who can replace him. I think Seawald can step right in and do a nice job.

I believe the bigger impact will be what it's going to do, and is currently doing to the psych of the team. I think that will be a far bigger impact, and can completely derail the chemistry of the team, something this team thrives on.

This team does have that 95 feel to it. The heart and sole was the BP and they were finally fully healthy no need to trot out Vest, Montero, etc they could fire a flotilla of studs to shorten the game:

Using JT as the fireman with a 200 ERA+ in the 6th, Sadler 198 ERA+ 7th, Seawald 181 ERA+ 8th, Gravey closes out with the 508 ERA+,

The next day you mix in SWANSON 805 ERA+,

I like Gravey, I know having an excellent BP can help you win games. That was the teams strength and they were the leaders in BP WAR even with so many Studs spending time on the IL: Graveman, Swanson, etc.

Now Toro: He is a 69 OPS+ career guy so far but he is about an 84 OPS+ guy on the year and had a nice dozen games in June. July he has about the same number of games and is hitting for a .658 OPS but the home games are in a hitters park. Remeber, Kyle Seager has a .868 road OPS this year. He also has a .900 OPS the last 2 weeks. So, I just don't see how this guy with basically a 1st, and 3rd B positional versatility is getting into the game on the reg. France has been heating up and has a 123 OPS+ which is better than Toro's 84, Seager 100 OPS+ is better than Toro's 84, DH Luis 110> 84.

I get he has torn up AAA recently as any number of our Tacoma guys have as well. How the F is this guy any more ready to contribute. I get that Jedi could have some uber-cool research staff and have this guys bat speed, and exit velo and O-swing, and this and that and a magic 8 ball saying this guy given every day ABs is land somewhere between Roberto Alomar and Chipper Jones with the switch hitting ability. The thing is the article states that he is not good at 2B so it is the corners and you gotta bring a bat to those positions.

I really have to suspect that he goes in another package to get someone that is actually good. Or, Maybe somehow you make some trade of Torrins, Seager, or France for a super star player. Uggh, I just don't see it unless he blossoms.
