Funny thing is, the #1 pick before him was David Price and the four after were Stephen Strasburg, Bryce Harper, Gerrit Cole and Carlos Correa. But those are all #1 picks and here some of us are rooting for lots of losses to get to the #4 pick instead of the #5.

I did a survey of pre-draft rankings based on the 20 to 80 scale. Some years if you got #1 you it the lottery Griffey, AROD, consensus #1s. Some years there is 2,3,4,5 that are rated equally atop the pre-draft. Some years you have an equal shot with the #3 vs the # 17 pick based on a year where 2 prospects are rated as 60's and the next 16 are rated as 55 point over-all prospects.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 9:19 pmFunny thing is, the #1 pick before him was David Price and the four after were Stephen Strasburg, Bryce Harper, Gerrit Cole and Carlos Correa. I could really see the M's rally towards the bottom. No Leake, Elias, Haniger has not played in a long time.

I am pretty bummed out on this. I liked Beckham. But age 29 and not living up to what people expected, I see his desperation. His excuse, however, was pathetic. Just own up.

Last year when Cano got clipped for PED intake, I suggested to some friends that anyone caught in this manner, in addition to serving their suspension, should also be made to sit in a pillory for one hour each home game in the concourse of their home stadium for the duration of that period.
I’m convinced players are willing to take the risk of suspension and monetary fine if it will increase their performance. The threat of public humiliation, however, would probably be *way* too much for their fragile egos to bear.
This was before I became enlightened and a part of this forum. However, I was still called anachronistic and unenlightened.
A year later, I still feel the same way.

JD should have traded him when he had the chance. That said, they got him for nothing except for the cash and the spot he took up, that he doesn't have now. It clears up a spot.
"I was given a product from a trusted source...", typical PED user excuse.

Who the hell came up with the anti cruel and unusual punishment statute anyway? They should have at least kept the unusual piece. I have a full color book on medieval torture. There were some creative and evil bastards back in the day.Petert wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 12:39 amLast year when Cano got clipped for PED intake, I suggested to some friends that anyone caught in this manner, in addition to serving their suspension, should also be made to sit in a pillory for one hour each home game in the concourse of their home stadium for the duration of that period.![]()
