OPS puts up runs, speed puts up runs too, though you don't have any use for speed. Its not that you need power at certain positions, what you need is offense, and offense comes in a variety of packages. Your power can come from whatever position you feel like so long as you get offense from your other positions. Ricky Henderson provided offense from a power position, he did it by scoring runs.

This is so wrong.

Rickey Hendersons career OPS was .820. 16 consecutive seasons with an OPS over .775 plus more late in his career.

Ichiro had 8 seasons with an OPS over .775.

I'll be just fine with that with their speed.

If they were picking up prime Rickey Hendersons or Ichiros we wouldnt be having this conversation. They're trying to stash .650 or .700 OPS's in the corner outfield and that will NEVER work.

Oppo bomb for Lewis. Lewis hits a lot to RC field. Both HR today went opposite field. That's part of the reason he struggles in home games for Arkansas. Really big fields, especially to the gaps. I think his power takes a pretty big uptick when promoted to AAA. That's where I assume he starts next year, after getting a few AB in Seattle this September

Impressive display today, imagine if Kyle Lewis becomes a prospect again.

Not much seems to be going wrong for the Mariners minor leagues these days.

Complete opposite of a few years ago when we couldn't even keep our prospects alive and the rest took bats to the head and slid into catchers breaking their legs, etc.

Right. Fraley in CF, Lewis in LF, Haniger in RF by midseason next year. Kelenic then comes up midseason 2021 and you have Fraley as 4th OF or trade bait.
