Some honesty from the starter for the A's:
Cole Irvin: “Baseball has a way of humbling itself. To be honest, it goes back to the comments I made early in the season. They’re hungry every time. They want to face me and beat me into the ground, and they did that every time I faced them."

Attendance guess for tonight's game? I will go with 21K.
11k???????? Unreal. On Sept 18th 1995 we were also two back and there were 30k. On Sept. 27th 1995 also a weekday there were 50k.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cite lack of fan support as a reason not to spend big this off season. Not publicly but behind closed doors. Publicly it will be to give the 2nd wave of prospects time to develop.

Great decision. Love it.

Wow, Anderson is pitching on just TWO days rest after throwing 54 pitches. Suddenly the team that fell in love with the 6 man rotation doesn't care about rest for pitchers. lol

He could have easily declined to pitch and the union would have his back. Good on him.

Gilbert is tomorrow so it will likely be Marco, Flexen and Anderson for the Angels unless they go Gilbert on 3 days rest.

Kind of shocked and dismayed that the M's brought up reliever Wyatt Mills and declined a start for Matt Brash in the final week. Would have been fun to watch.
