Brought up memories of Brandon Lee when filming The Crow. Sad.

Where I went and RIP respectfully was here -- when you try to make a western with an unhappy crew -- and then ignore the critical details on set during filming.

The second place I went is to my gripe that Hollywood is more than happy to be hypocritical when it comes to guns. They use the fake ones to rake in billions, but don't think the common people should possess them. Baldwin is the crowning jewel of this hypricricy.

Then they also use real ones with their "protection detail", but don't think common people should possess them.

What happened is a crying shame and should never have happened. I feel for the man's family.....Baldwin can go fuck himself.

This was a bit of trivia I found on imdb:

She was unintentionally shot dead by Alec Baldwin, who had been misinformed of the hazard conditions posed by a prop weapon's utility, during the filming of Rust. The movie's director Joel Souza was non-fatally but severely injured in the same incident of unintentional outcome.

I assumed it was unintentional, but maybe Alec Baldwin shouldn't be playing with the equipment. I am sure, even with prop guns, there are safe distances. Even with a starters pistol (for track events) there are safe distances. AND YOU SHOULD NEVER POINT A WEAPON AT ANY PERSON...LOADED OR NOT.

1. Always assume the weapon is loaded.
2. Always know your target.
3. Always know whats behind your target.
4. Never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to fire.

Pretty simple.

So, were there bullets in the gun or not? I seem to recall some guy on a new TV series in the mid 80's offing himself on set with a prop gun that contained blanks.

Agreed! And the interesting thing is that Baldwin will forever be remembered for pulling the trigger. I feel sadness for the woman's family. But Baldwin? Not a chance. Karma is a Bitch.
