Mingo + Martin and 3rd Round pick...wow
That looks like 2 guys who might have been waived anyways and a 3rd Round pick they can get back as a Comp pick at end of season if he doesn't sign.

Who makes the roster on the D-Line now. Does that mean Meder & Jackson make the 53?

Hey I got something right.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 4:00 pmGood points. Only three more days to wait.ThePro wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 3:51 pmI read his article and I'm just not seeing the downside. Sone like to bring up Richardson. Is there anyone who doesn't believe Clowney is a far better player than Richardson?
Two they wouldn't sign Clark. The Hawks are in a completely different situation when they traded Clark. Wagner was unsigned and at that time did you think he was willing to sign a deal for 3 years 54 million? And they had 4 draft picks. They had to trade Clark. Look at the draft haul they got back.
Three Clowney is a rent a player. Let's say Hawks trade a 2nd and a player. Probably not Penny because that makes no sense. Clowney leaves after the season Hawks will receive a 3rd round comp for him. So basically they are dropping down from a 2nd to a 3rd for o e year of a talent with huge upside. I would be dead set against it if we were talking about an older player. Clowney is 26 yo.
If all reports are correct he wants to come here. After playing here a year he might welcome a contract extension. He and Duane Brown are friends.
I'm just not seeing the dilemma some are making it out to be.

true true, but have to say picking on Calkins a bit like grown adults dominating a 2nd grader one-on-one, like Billy Madison.ThePro wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 4:56 pmThis article didn't age well...

In my mind, that is exactly what this pick is.Perhaps the scenario would be different if the Seahawks were projected to win 12 games and just needed that final piece to become something close to a Super Bowl favorite.
With a good pass rush our db’s are fine. If not, we will need to score a lot of points.
(Yes I am picking on Caulkins)
