Re: New QB transfer
Because DeBoer was the OC at Indiana when Penix was a freshman the afternoon hosts on KJR seem to think he has the inside track to win the starting job. I wonder how Sam feels about this.

Re: New QB transfer
He was fucking horrid this season. 53% completion % with 4 TDs and 7 picks. And he is going to beat out Huard.

Both Chuck Powell and Mike Salk are calling this a "big get" on their morning shows today.

Haener; will never play.....has the plague to all husky fans.
Huard; the golden child everyone wants to play.
Penix; well see. But by wife read an article that says he's injured often.

Re: New QB transfer
Sounds like the kid was pretty good the season that he played under Deboer. I haven’t researched it one bit though, so no clue. Just what I am hearing. Also had a buddy tell me he read an insider report that says that Huard needs to sit and learn, and that his dad and uncle agree.
Five Star kid, showed up in the Spring of his Senior year of HS and still isn’t ready. We sure have issues coaching up QBs here.

Re: New QB transfer
Kind of reminds me of the basketball team under Romar. They had probably 5 guys over the years who were rated either 1 or 2 in the nation at their position and for the most part they were all a giant disappointments. Might be paying too much attention to the hype and the recruiting rankings and not enough to the actual aptitude of the player.
