One fell swoop and we are done with the Lineup. Suarez hit 49 bombs in 2019! He sucked last season but he has to bounce back a bit. Only 30. Fucking love this trade!

He is a strange player he played SS even last year like 30-40 games. So, SS, 3B, maybe even 2B and the last month he did throw up a 1.2 OPS

MLBTR says there's a player to be named later coming from the M's in this trade as well. My guess is Hancock but they're waiting on medicals before confirming it. Or, if the medicals don't check out, then it's probably someone like Stoudt or Phillips.

Chapman's better defensively but Suarez's Sept has me excited about him. I think we just stick with him and keep your prospects.

Yeah, Dipoto seems pretty pumped. Toro can come in to help at 3rd. And Lewis can help Winker in LF vs lefties. This lineup is extremely well balanced. The only thing we seem to be missing is a "true CF" option. One could argue that a veteran high end starter could be called for. My two names in the hat are T. Anderson and/or Danny Duffy.

Similar career paths at the plate. Chapman is an elite defender though and Suarez is below average.

I haven't been interested in baseball in several years. It was the Mariner teams in the mid-teens that did it to me...just bad baseball.
But I always went to ST.

Since we (as a family) didn't watch baseball any longer we got rid of our cable package and went to HULU for the last few years, and they don't show much baseball (except for ESPN).

Now with all your excitement, I am trying to figure out how to watch it again. I won't be into all the numbers and minutia that you all seem to be, but want to watch it again.

Where though? You now have 4 outfielders plus Julio on the way later in the year. so its probably not going to be there. Suarez doesn't exactly seem like the type of guy you want coming off the bench so I would imagine he is your starter at 3rd. Maybe you get a lefty utility player, a stopgap starter and a leftyfor the pen but I don't see them making anymore marque moves at this point

Trade for one of the A's two remaining SPs.

Suarez + Winker definitely > Olson and get to keep the type of Prospects the Brave's had to give up for Olson.
