I'm not willing to pay Bryant $200M if thats his asking price. And Story turned us down because he doesn't want to change positions. Bor-ass trying to get Kris, Marcus Semien and Corey Seager money. I'm for trading some of our outfielders like Lewis plus a Toro or a decent prospect for starting pitching. But Jesus Jerry can't you just sign a high profile free agent for once?!?! Seattle Mariners....AAAA club of the majors. I just want Jerry to surprise me once with the obvious move.

I get all that. Believe me I do. I watched the movie Moneyball. I think JD binge watches it every Friday night. To attract stars here you got to have some stars on the squad imho. There are a handfull of players out there that make a difference and attract more talent. I would argue that Bryant, Correa, C.S., ect are in that group and come at a premium which the club makes back filling the seats and selling roasted crickets and reaching the post season. Just haven't seen that kind of commitment from management yet or that desire for these players to come to Seattle in a LONG while.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:31 amI'm not willing to pay Bryant $200M if thats his asking price. I thought the Robbie Ray deal was more than fair. But Dipoto probably still has nightmares from the Pujols and Josh Hamilton deals. He went pretty damned hard after Ohtani though.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:44 amI get all that. Believe me I do. I watched the movie Moneyball. Yeah the first time I almost lost my marbles. It was like playing a high stress video game that if you clicked the wrong spot the whole thing blows up. lolseattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:17 amor watch it for free my brothers.........https://www.streameast.xyz/bab-mlb-streams/Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 11:17 pmIt does not offer it until the last week of Match and doesn't include Spring Training games.
So two options:
A) Pay the $100 bucks and getting all you're Spring Traing and Regular Season games
Or
B) Go to YouTube and watch full entire game replays each night
You have to figure out closing the ads but it literally takes about 30 seconds of your time then full screen it on your PC/TV.

Dude Suarez hit 31 bombs last year and 49 in 2019. He had a horrid for half last season but KILLED it in SEPT.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:25 amGod Damn JD...he just cannot help himself. Yep, never thought I would say this but Suarez is equal upside as Bryant with WAY lower risk.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:31 amI'm not willing to pay Bryant $200M if thats his asking price. Think on this... at 106M payroll we have both payroll and prospect flexibility to go get players we may need during the season or next off season with no current gaping holes in the lineup, what a change from a year ago! The future looks pretty bright! And if we get a few of our prospects to really break out..... oh man..... DT's head will explode!!

You're making some good points. I'm feeling better about this trade. It's true we got Ray but no one really talks about the pitchers. i.e. I'm going to Seattle because they have Robbie Ray. Just watched MLB network and those folks definitely thought Seattle won in the deal. They said they were sorry for Reds fans because they are now going in another direction after the trade. Remains to be seen. We just need offense period. Hey we could be San Diego who just lost their best player Tatis with a wrist injury for at least 3 months and will need surgery. Hopefully our guys stay healthy with this shortened camp.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 1:23 amHe's a fantastic bridge to get to Noelvi MarteD-train wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 1:15 amYep, never thought I would say this but Suarez is equal upside as Bryant with WAY lower risk.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:31 am
