Re: Post Mortem: Seahawks v Bungles
Poonah Ford week to week with a calf strain now.
If he can't play next week they might have to make a roster move.

Re: Post Mortem: Seahawks v Bungles
Well "they" are on pace for 16 sacks so I will still take the over on 12 combined.

The bigger problem is obsessing over fantasy stats, like sacks. They are great, no question, but the batted passes, passes defensed, pressure, getting QB's out of their comfort zone, properly playing fundamental football, staying on your assignment, are all just as, if not more, important. Too much time is spent obsessing on stats while ignoring the context - simply because it's easier - and ultimately - just lazy journalism. The batted balls yesterday were huge huge huge, but since these don't make any fantasy roster points, no one cares. At last i don't think they do, I don't play that crap.
Scheming and execution. Obsessing on stats? Lame. It's what lazy journalism is all about anymore; ignore context, cut and paste a stat line instead. God forbid someone has to dig a little deeper than that.

Hopefully they gave the game ball to Jefferson, he saved the defense's asses yesterday.auroraave wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 7:58 pmThe bigger problem is obsessing over fantasy stats, like sacks. Worst end-of-first-half plays in Seahawk history:
1. 2013 against the Titans, Chris Maragos pulls a Yepremian on a field-goal attempt and the Titans take it to the house.
2. What Thompson did.
3. 2016 against the Falcons, the fake field goal where they tried a shovel pass to Luke Willson.

I think Tedric's days are numbered in Seattle. What an epic fail.

I don't even think you could call Danny a journalist when he wrote for the Times. He is now just a dumb sports radio buffoon.auroraave wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 7:58 pmThe bigger problem is obsessing over fantasy stats, like sacks. Hawks are resigning Taylor who Gregg Bell called the best cover guy during the preseason.
