He is facing Gerrit Cole today. Torrens isn't this bad as a hitter.
He has a .476 OPS. Last season 11 NL pitchers had a higher OPS than .476.

So Castillo and Zach Davies led the NL with 75 BB in 2021 while Lance McCullers led the AL with 75. Along with Eduardo Rodriguez leading the AL with 75 in 2019, those are the lowest league leading totals ever. It used to always be well over 100.

Torrens is such a garbage pitch framer! Can't wait to see Casali. Luis days are numbered. He can't be optioned, so he'll be DFA'd and most likely scooped up by somebody. Probavly Torrens last game action as a Mariner.

What do we think it's going to cost to extend Castillo?

He'll be entering age 30 next year. Can we get him on a 6 yr, $180m deal?
Seems bout right.

This is probably the worst game we've seen this year from a home plate ump and what's worse it's been completely one-sided. He's literally influencing the outcome if Castillo doesn't pitch out of this.

That was the worst AB I've seen by an ump. He had 5 calls, 4 of them were wrong. Only one he got right was in the dirt.

95 pitches. Place your bets on another inning?
