That is why I like Nimmo I think he will hit better in Seattle than he did in Queens.

career .802 home .850 road
I'd take Nimmo any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

But, per my earlier post, JD is not tied to any FA rumors by any of the MLB execs/insiders they polled - SS or COF. Nimmo has been mentioned as a potential fit in Seattle, and some sources (slightly more reputable than what you'd hear around a water cooler) mention that Jerry has "checked in"**. But nothing serious.

**Incidental footnote: my guess is that Jerry's idea of "checking in" is to call up Boras, ask him to get together for lunch at Wendy's, and then ask him if Nimmo would like to come to Seattle cause, like, it's really cool and we already have a locker with his name on it and, like, we'd totally pay him minimum wage.

Jerry ain't interested in free agency.
Unless it's for pitching and international signings. Robbie Ray, Senga, Yoshida, Ohtani, Iwakuma.

And I fucking love Wendy's!
So do I!! Can't believe McDonalds even stays in business when people can go to Wendy's or even BK.

Looks like the new Crest is 2026 postponed 5 years..at least he is being honest...I feel bad for the lifelong M's fans that will die in the next three years without ever seeing the team in the WS.

It has been said many times and by different people on here that they’re not gonna sign big name free agents and they’re going to save the money for the Cal, Gilberts and Kirbys. Really is what he saying in the interview

If their saving for anything it's the Japanese Babe Ruth down in Anaheim. You can't tell me their not making these moves to set themselves up for a HUGE run at Ohtani come on seriously. That's why their doing this. Everyone in baseball knows he's gone after 2023 & if there's 1 player worth going all out for, Ohtani is the one trust me.

Honestly it doesn't bother me as much not seeing us go after these high end guys it really doesn't. Would I love a Turner or Bogaerts, absolutely. My big fish lies in the murky waters of the of the Steel City. If they don't deal him now their just gonna watch him watch away without nothing to show for it.

Then why was he talking about not ruling out moving JP to 2B??? Was he going to do it to sign Didi Gregorious?

Could be as simple as Torres wasn't on the trading block.

Degrom to the Rangers. 5 years, $185 million.

Why do we have to play in a division that cares so much? Can we move to the AL Central?
