No indication that BR is a POS like Winker is though.
But that “POS” checked off “all of the boxes”:

Unfortunately he also checked the Lazy POS box.

Why didn't Jerry and Hollander catch that his work ethic was a problem in their player vetting they're so proud of?

I think everyone was hopeful for Winker-

The forum consensus is that Jesse Winker disappointed on several levels last season but is the consensus that Winker is a “POS”?

That’s the distinction.

Well there is this and the fact that they traded him leaving a gaping hole for LH bat in DH/LF but I am sure he is a great team mate and humanitarian.

Yes he prefers to send off players which weakens the org instead of just spending money because it doesn't make his bosses happy.

"But more often when you pick up the phone and you call the young player, who you just traded in exchange for that guy, they are just devastated. This past summer, we made a couple of trades, and we had two of our young players ask us if they had to go. 'Can we talk about this?' We explained that's not really how it worked.

What do you guys think about David Peralta?
He plays pretty good defense and has some pop too.
He's not a top-flight FA outfielder but could spell some time at DH also.
It would still give JK some at-bats which is what Jerry and company want.
Stubborn bastards.
If the Bryan Reynolds thing doesn't pan out at least you have a veteren that can contribute in the lineup.
Somehow I just see him as a fit on this team.

Your thoughts?

Not that there was ever any hope that we’d sign him or have him return, but Jean, Jean the Hitting Machine signed with the Marlins. Two years, $17M.

Since the December 2018 trade involving Jean Segura and J.P. Crawford, the Philadelphia Phillies have paid Segura $58 million to post 7.9 fWAR and 8.4 bWAR in 427 games while the Seattle Mariners have paid Crawford about $8.2 million (plus a $5 million extension bonus) to post 7.7 fWAR and 9.7 bWAR in 451 games. Crawford is nearly five years younger than Segura (and is younger now than Segura was at the time of the 2018 trade).

Crawford is owed $41 million over the next four seasons.
