The last few days, actually for over a week now it has been a total Snooze fest on the MLB front.

I am starved for even a juicy rumor to spark a conversation.

Nothing.

This is the most interesting thing to talk about:
In total there are 68 users online :: 5 registered, 0 hidden and 63 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes)
Most users ever online was 351 on Sat Jul 11, 2020 4:56 am

Registered users: Bing [Bot], D-train, Majestic-12 [Bot], Pharmabro, TLO Idaho
Legend: Administrators, Global moderators

Most users ever online 351 on July 11 2020? Why were there so many people online on the 11th of 2020

BLM/Antifa CHOP?
Opening day?
Draft?
Oh, it was the day that MLB announced that a season would be played?
Was there a trade, or signing?

I checked transaction and nothing happened with-in a day or two of that date.

Was the biggest day on the forum just completely random?

Some political events that happened for some Nostalgia:
the couple with guns protecting their home from the mob
Trump commutes Roger Stone
In a lighter note it is National 7-11 Day! Fun fact The 7-11 on Clearwater Ave in Kennewick Wa. Sells the must Slurpee's in the nation. Tri-Cities Rock!
Goya Foods CEO won't apologize in face of boycott, backlash for pro-Trump remarks: 'Suppression of speech'
After Ford employees demanded the company stop making police vehicles, the CEO clapped black with logic, common sense

Anyhow, that was a fun little loop down the rabbit hole.

This actually gives me hope the are seriously in on Reynolds.
Funny, I had the same thought.

I mean JD is pretty good at finding trades and he looks to have a track record of having kind of ongoing discussions with trade partners about players.

I mean we are almost Reynolds or bust now. I have tried to find players that could provide balance for the 1st 5 spots and guys like Ed Escobar, and the like don't move the needle for me.

I know what you mean. I log in three times a day hoping for something to happen that will give me hope for the upcoming season. Nope. Nada.

A Jerry article

I haven't read it yet

https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/25206 ... e-playoffs
Jerry likes trades.
Yes he prefers to send off players which weakens the org instead of just spending money because it doesn't make his bosses happy.
Jerry Dipoto hasn't traded off every prospect.

Over the past two years the Mariners graduated four homegrown prospects -- Logan Gilbert, Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodriguez and George Kirby -- who in 2022 combined for 15.6 fWAR. Some prospects have disappointed but the M's have also graduated the productive Matt Brash and Andres Munoz, who were acquired by trade.

The farm system, not the organization, was weakened by trades. However, the Mariners are now positioned to have three of the top 30 picks in the June 2023 draft and are the favorites to land the second-ranked international player next month in Felnin Ceslesten and a top 10 international prospect the following year in Dawel Joseph.

“We're about as balanced as any team that I think we've ever had, and we have young prime or in their prime players at every position on the field,” Dipoto said.
Yeah because have Dylan Moore and JK getting DH bats is better than old man Jose Abreu.....

Bpj you might want to consider getting connected with the Oregon Soccer community. This She/her might need some company.

I don't know that that would bother anybody here.

Nobody even knows what a Sounders is here. Or anywhere really.

She just looks like any other chubby muffdiving liberal.

About as much of a dunk as men coming to Oregon wearing their Huskies shirts. They can flaunt it all they want, they're still the ones wearing purple.

This is what frustrates me too.

We don't have prime players at every position on the field, they're delusional.

Left field and DH are a wasteland.

Personally I think their biggest problem is they're just handing opportunities out as Option A, instead of adequately staffing the MLB team and letting opportunities come when a player gets injured or traded or underperforms.
