Ripped apart a Presidents state of the Union speech like a blithering drunken idiotmaoling wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 4:49 pmA lib friend was acting like a pissant about the failure of Republicans failing to elect a speaker so far, calling it an "embarrassment."
I told him, "No, this is an inconvenience. An embarrassment is Nancy the hag and her goose-stepping Democrats spending the last six years accomplishing nothing except further dividing the country by repeatedly impeaching a president (even out of office), wasting the nation's time on bullshit and vendettas, and trying to equate Jan. 6 with Pearl Harbor and September 11. An embarrassment is a vice-president who is so stupid she isn't allowed to speak anymore, and a President who is so senile his every comment has to be walked back and clarified by his handlers."

Sorry, already deleted it. She sends me stuff in an election year because six years ago I asked her a question via an email. Never did get an answer from her, but got added to her email list. Typical for her, I only hear from her in election years.

I guess we will see in a couple of weeks! BTW, I didn't know Robert E Lee day existed. I guess I'm just a sheltered Northerner. But I suppose in the spirit of diversity and inclusion, traitors need their birthdays made into holidays too!
Re: Selecting a Speaker of the House
MLK and Bob E Lee where born four days apart. My wife whose father was from WV and who died in 2004 used to call MLK day Robert E Lee day. I never met him as I first dated my wife in 2005.

MLK day is Monday. Seems something has come up which might make people forget about it that little tussle.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 6:56 amIt's not a question of remembering, it's if it foretells the difficulty of getting things done in the house of representatives. In that sense it could be remembered, reflected on
