Jesus. Nothing like getting your news from a conspiracy theory website with a .io domain.

I thought about watching it, probably pretty entertaining. But looks like it's an hour long, so not sure that is going to happen.

I don't consume "news". That shit is for zombies.

Freevoice is pretty much just Matt McKinley who also puts out about 5 videos a week on his YouTube channel Quantum of Conscience. Howdie Mickoski used to post on Freevoice also, but his last post was six months ago. I'm addicted to Matt's videos. Mostly you don't really need the video, so you can listen to while driving or doing other things.

I watch / listen to every piece of content Matt puts out. He does like 5 videos per week. Some of his concepts get redundant, but I listen to him anyway for comic relief. He's a comedian for sure. I was excited that he was going to do a piece on rigged games.

Basic gist for those that don't want to watch the video is that he thinks the NFL definitely directs outcomes to push the stars of the league, but it's generally not done via the refs or the players. His main theme is that the owners are all in a club, and they look out for best interests of the league.

They want you to view the teams as individual entities, but they're not. They all work together. The product is the NFL. He references the Five Families from the Godfather. Lol. Matt is saying the head coach doesn't work for the owner, he works for the NFL. Coordinators work for the coach, so they work for the NFL, not the team. Matt's basically saying during the Super Bowl the Eagles were instructed not to blitz, and that pretty much decided the game. But, then they needed that one call to seal the deal. He's saying Mahomes is the new golden boy. The torch was passed from Brady to Mahomes. Also State Farm huge sponsor. Matt's saying they've got the analytics down, so they know if they just do one or two things they can reach a 98% win probability.

He's saying using the referees to rig games is a bit too obvious. He's also saying there's no way the players are involved, because then the sport would look ridiculous. He saying maybe some QBs might be involved, but only a select few like Mahomes or Brady. For the most part, he's suggesting referees are generally not in on it, and neither are players. The short version of the video is that he thinks some games are rigged via the scheming and play-calling. But, in this big game where they wanted so bad to cement Mahomes legacy, they included the rigged officiating and had to use it at the end.

I guess the Philly defensive coordinator just got a head coaching job. That's his reward for making sure Mahomes was never blitzed.

Thanks for summarizing it so we didn't have to listen to an hour+ long of tinfoil hat conspiracy theory. That is all ridiculous. Coaches get fired when they lose, which loses them millions of dollars. Why would they follow instructions to let the other teams win??? And how would they keep those that followed instructions and then got fired from speaking up? It makes no sense. If they really wanted to rig things, wouldn't they just make trades like Madden, where the 'right' teams get whoever they want? Or rig the draft like the NBA has several times?

The NFL has made so many rules to ensure parity in the league, to the point it is easily the best of all the major sports at it. Every team is roughly equal, with just a slight difference in talent level in 80% of the teams, and on any given Sunday you never know what will happen. In a rigged league, that doesn't happen.

If you want to tell me one or two individuals want a certain team to win, and therefore tweak the odds by throwing a flag or moving back the start date of a football game so the team can get healthy... well, that seems plausible. But a giant, league-wide summit to fix games? psh.

Want to know what drives the NFL, gambling. If you want a conspiracy look at all aspects of production that favours gamblers. Can you imagine the damage done if it was exposed the games were rigged? You know it get leaked to the press. Ridiculous they risk everything to promote certain players

I think it's not only fair, but inperitive to question the integrity of these leagues.

Seahawks Steelers Super Bowl. Every call going against the team NOT featuring "The Bus" who was the NFL's marketing focus.

Sonics Suns series - game 7 of a conference finals - the Suns shot 67 free throws - conveniently getting a barkely/Jordan Finals. Even the commentators were calling BS every time the Suns went to the free throw line - the Sonics were smoking them going up and down the court - only the free throws kept Phx in the game. Kings/Lakers - the NBA is littered with blatantly rigged series.

All the calls went against Cinci in the division round to propel the Chiefs. The only call anyone is talking about favored the Chiefs over the Eagles.
Cinci lost to the Lambs after the exact same ticky tack 'holding call' went against them at the exact same point in the game - when there was NO chance to recover. The infamous "non call" in the Lambs/Saints game that, conveniently, KEPT the Lambs in the game when the correct call all but ends the game.

You can draw whatever conclusions you like - but at some point you cannot ignore the patterns emerging. It's obvious in the NBA, so, why not the NFL? How hard would it be? Players and coaches need not be involved. Just a few convenient calls. Again, someone explain the Seahawk/Steeler SB. Every call going against the hometown darling the NFL was promoting? I'm sure it was just a coincidence.

Game after game after game after game is being dictated by officiating. Is it intentional or incompetence?
