Just look at the throwing base! Even when he steps up he has a quick reset. Most of the guys at the top of the board like this. Even Bryce Young and Anthony Richardson often times throw off of their tippy toes. This guy is always ready to throw and throw accurately.

Watch him and think of Drew Brees Light. Some interesting similarities. I don't know if any of it will get him into starter shoes someday or not.

My buddies and him were also talking about getting this kid yesterday sometime in the 6th. I'm so happy we got him. I had every single player except Mike MO on my big board, and even Kenny McIntosh rated higher than Charbonnet until his combine. I even had Reed going in the 4th round. The Hawks get an A+ in this draft.

Kenny is likely going to take Dallas' job and become our 3rd down back. Another late round steal IMO. Not on my draft board, but I never thought he'd fall out of the 3rd, maybe the 4th.

Other than QB, you couldn't have asked for a better draft class than this. Schneider even said during his presser that you can't just draft a QB to fit you're 'narrative'. Sounded like they almost traded back from 5 to acquire more depth in next season's draft just to do so.

I think they liked Richardson and Stroud, maybe even Young, but that Anderson and Witherspoon were the two highest on their board. Gonna have to start putting in more work towards next year's QB class. It should be deeper.

Why wasn't he drafted? 67% completion rate, great size and 28/5 TD/INT. Small school? But Josh Allen was also small school.

He throws with a ton of anticipation, maybe just as much or more than Bryce Young, believe it or not. He is very good at ball placement in tight windows. Throws with mulitple arm angles. I think these traits are some of the most important QB traits to have, and this guy is checking the elite level boxes on all three.

But he isn't checking the elite level boxes are in areas where I think most NFL coaches prioritize most of their evaluation in this evolving QB climate. He's not an eye popping athlete and he isn't necessarily the creator you can see out of Allen or even Purdy for that matter. He is still very good at both, but likely not enough to jump of the film for most evaluators. He just creates with his anticipation and quick decisions without needing to let it all bake in the oven for a long time. And yes, of course, small school and all.

I'll go out on a limb and say, I think there's a high probability Ahlers displaces Lock in camp. His level of anticipation is very special and he is going to put some balls on the WRs in camp and impress a lot of people. I think he's a stellar find IMO.

100% about the arm strength. Just not enough data there to see how he does on big throws.

"Inside streaks" are seam route meant to exploit the zone responsibilities by basically running a route right on the borders of responsibility while using other routes to lure a defender away from pass option #1 who is running down the seam.

Corner fades and flags are used a lot in the NFL too. You'll see two or three WRs on onside and they will run a combo of routes that force the DBs to sort this out, such as a cross, slant, and a fade, and if the DBs do a poor job sorting in coverage, which often someone does, then balls get caught. It's just the bigger plays get on the highlight film.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that he went undrafted. But not at all surprised that SEA nabbed him.
