Changing the hitting coach is fine to show you're doing something, but it's mostly meaningless. Mlb players don't have to listen to hitting coaches. They're just advisors, available for those that want advice.

That said, firing the hitting coach might wake these assholes up, especially if they like him, if they're friends with him. There needs to be a cost for their shittiness.

Great offenses have great hitting coaches. Rangers Dodgers Redsox. We need change in this offense. A new hitting coach will change the approach on this offense and it might help. Can't help but try something.
