btw when and why did it become vogue to call position groups, "Rooms" Wide receiver room, QB room, they will have a really good RB room this season.

Is it because they all now have their own meeting rooms? It is interesting how sports lingo has evolved over the years.

Parkinson will never be anything more than a 3rd string fill in. His upside is Willson-esque. It's pretty damn easy to trend up when your career was 5 catches for 30 yards.

I've been on the McIntosh and Mafe train before they were even drafted (search my posts about them), though, so I'm down with those predictions. Calling Olu a pro bowler is a real stretch, though. Center is a tough position to make the pro bowl, and I would be shocked if he beats out Brown. In fact, I list Brown as one of MY five possible surprises.

Parkinson was tied for 40th for TEs in receptions. Given 32 teams that puts him in the top 10 for #2 TEs. And was he prob won't increase another 5x going from 5 to 25 to 125 this season, I could see him with high 30s which would get him into the low end of the #1 TE territory. I also like the fact he NEVER dropped a pass in his Pro career.

Has he never dropped a pass? Impressive, but when you only have 30 passes thrown at you in 3 years, you'd better concentrate. I would wager he has FEWER catches this year (barring long-term injuries to Fant and/or Dissly). The reason being last year the team essentially had 2.5 WRs that weren't dog shit, so they rotated in 3 decent TEs. This year they should have 3 quality WRs and hopefully 4 (come on, Eskridge!), plus a RB or two capable of catching a pass. I don't think the 3 TE set will be nearly as important... stat wise, anyway.

30 for 30 is still pretty impressive. If fact ESPN should do a documentary on him and call it..........

Yeah, he will never have Percy's speed, but I view him as a guy who could have a Percy-like impact on a game. Percy never reached his potential imo, but I think KM will. I hope he is returning punts/kickoffs for us right out of the gate this year.

it's interesting how everybody here seems to think he'll return kicks. He isn't fast, so that just doesn't seem like the best role for him. I went and checked, though, and his sophomore year he was one of the leading KRs in college, albeit on only a half dozen returns. His junior year the average dropped in half and they took him out of that position.

He is 1/1 passing, though. Which would make him the defacto starter for the 49ers right now.

Dallas will be the primary kick returner. Don't know who will field the punts though. I would have thought Eskridge but they haven't used him there in the past have they? Maybe Njigba since he has good hands?
