Sorry, Dan, but there are a few things that the Government can do better. Submarines come to mind.
I could build a great submarine if I was able to extort every US citizen and print money out of thin air. You can grow a lot of cotton very efficiently when you have slaves picking it.

The idea that some benevolent, make-believe, pie-in-the-sky, Santa Claus authority will spend the people's money better than the people themselves is ludicrous. It's an obvious extraction process.

That being said, if people voluntarily want to donate their money to the submarine project of their choice, then they have every right to. But, nobody has the right to tax their neighbor to build a submarine without their consent. You don't have that right. I don't have that right. Neither of us has any "representative" that morally or legitimately has that right. The only moral law is contract law where both parties agree to the terms.

Side note that the entire Navy is a farce. There is no need for aircraft carriers and submarines in modern warfare. They are sitting ducks.

Second side note, prosperity is not more important than freedom.

He is as obtuse and stubborn as some on this board.
The Supreme Court knocked you down......accept it.
Congress holds the purse strings, not you.

If it does get his way, what about my dept from the 80's & 90's?
What about my wifes debt from the 90's?
And my kids dept from the 2010's?

Since they are paid off, can we get reimbursed?

C'mon, you know that's not how it works. You go to work, earn a living and pay your bills (and your taxes). Then those tax dollars go to people who don't want to work, earn a living and pay taxes.

:D

Pedo Joe is back in town. If he did this to my kid, I would have slapped him. WTF is wrong with this creep?

What's more important. Idiots with East Patagonia Basket Weaving Degrees who work at Starbucks cause nobody cares about their worthless degree, or millions of hard working people who owe mortgages on their homes?

Pedo Joe is the poster boy for Weird Uncle Fred sitting in his chair at all the holidays who wants all the kids to come over so he can paw them. I had an uncle that was an absolute jerk but didn't do stuff like that. He was only verbally abusive. It boggles the mind that the Dems are going to run him for President? How many parents would allow some guy at the Mall to come up to you and do that to your kid?

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Then there's the mother. Rather than stand up for her child, she allows the POTUS to creep out on her daughter and then proceeds to break out her phone to shoot some video (or take a picture).

One can only hope that she'll use said photo/video to pursue an assault charge. Parents play such a HUGE role in today's problems.

I would have punched him in the fucking face.

These are the things that need to be revisited 1-2 months before the general election.
