Code: Select all

Overall roster (minus QB)	85.0	11
Quarterback	80.7	12
Coaching	84.0	17
Draft	92.3	1
Front office	91.0	4
85...coaching isn't ranked very high, they had the best draft. The FO gets credit for that
Wow 85, better than i would have rated them but still 5 points behind SF.

I've had three ACL repair/replacement operations since 1974. That was back in the dark ages. I was back playing football in 9 months after the first operation. Volleyball in six. The ACL was completely detached. The second operation, an ACL tear, took me six months to begin playing volleyball again, and softball at the same time. The third time was a complete ACL replacement. I had PT for three months and they told me to be careful through the "stupid season," the following three months. Because of what they told me, I did PT for an additional three months. After that surgery, I was out coaching soccer with the kids. I didn't notice any problems in each case. Good to go after six months. My ages for each? 22 on the first one, 36 on the second surgery, 48 on the third.

Granted, I'm not a professional athlete, and I weigh nowhere near what Mone and Brooks weigh. It may take them a while to get back into "professional" shape. I wasn't shooting for that, but I was playing at my prior pace within six months each time. Nine months should be possible. But then, I'm just an amateur compared to these guys!

What's important is the overall quality of the roster, espn has them ahead of the 49ers

https://www.ninersnation.com/2023/7/21/ ... r-rankings
That ranking is for the future state of the team, for like the next 5 years or whatever. Currently, they rank the 49ers ahead of us both in roster quality and coaching.

I didn't post the link trying to prove a point. The overall quality of the roster is what's important. I'll take an 85 to 90. How many players do the 49ers have on your list?

More than two i'll wager. You don't actually think our roster is better than SF do you? I'm talking about how it looks now, not in a year or two when the draft picks from the last 2 drafts hit their stride.

I don't think it's a better roster, but I think it's competitive.
Here the 49er roster is ranked 3rd, the Hawks roster 9th.

Oh i misread your post. Heck i'd be elated if they play up to that ranking this year because they're only going to get better over the next few.

Okay, that link confused things, just thought it was interesting, particularly being a 49er site. That really is all about their draft. The coaching is 17th?

Nwosu signing a 3 year extension, 32m guaranteed, up to 59m. There was talk among pundits about cutting him for cash savings, I guess that puts that to bed. Dunno if this is value or overpay, but he had a great year and we definitely want him around and he definitely deserves to get paid.
