. . “Obviously, developing a high-school catcher is very challenging, just because they haven’t played at a high level and they’re not used to the rigors of playing every day. And often times if you do that before you’re physically or mentally mature, it will really wear you down,” Servais said. “But one thing I’ll say about Harry, having spent time with him, is he’s very unique. He’s physically built out. He’s a well-rounded kid. I love his skill set. He can really throw. He has some power. I think he’s really smart and I think he has an opportunity to be a difference-maker behind the plate, but he does need reps. Any time you try to rush a young catcher, it can be a challenge.”

Yeah, I had seen that, I think they have every intention of keeping him behind the plate at this point. I believe they like him as a catcher. We'll see, I think he has to fail at it. I don't think it would be trying to fast track his bat
Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
I wanted to see Teoscar kept and given a QO, but I'd rather spend the $20 million (if he accepts) elsewhere.
Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
Don’t think there is anyway he accepts a QO, someone will give 3 yr deal 40-60 mil at least
Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
It's not guaranteed. I'd rather see him gone now, especially if they do something with the payroll space.
Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
I don't have any evidence of this, but I get the feeling that Teo has had an influence on Julio's hitting approach.

I can see why, I mean, look at the massive success they have both been this season?

Re: The slightly too early trade deadline thread
I think Julio has had more bad luck with hard hit balls, but he’s definitely not hitting like last year. I think he’ll figure it out though.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 6:21 pmThere lines are strikingly similarMichael K. wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 5:35 pmI can see why, I mean, look at the massive success they have both been this season?
