Speed? Thought he had that, the issue is he's tiny.Witherspoon showed no ill impact from the injury. He clocked in the low 4.4 range in the 40-yard dash at his workout. Several teams had defensive back coaches in attendance for Witherspoon’s impressive athletic display.

4.42 in private workout. Most those are not FAT Times.
Read so many reviews of scouts saying that he lacks that makeup speed.

See Witherspoon at nickel with the ones again today. CB playing some safety.
Very interesting. Number 5 pick at slot corner. Not good. But, season is way off.

3 for 17 is not much of a sample size over what, 3 years? Also, almost 6 ypc is not bad.
The true benefit would be making the defense worried about it, it would set up the fake sweep, reverses, etc and I guarantee smaller DBs don't want any of it. So many positives.

I just don't see how Debo can basically become a household naming running the football and DK has three carries in his career!SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 12:18 am3 for 17 is not much of a sample size over what, 3 years? Also, almost 6 ypc is not bad.

He's too fast. Pete prefers to use the slowest guys on the roster for jet sweeps. Should call them prop plane sweeps.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 12:27 am

Didn't they also hand the ball off to Fant on some delay draw plays that got stuffed? Some weird play calling...

I would not be using DK on end arounds or jet sweeps. he's too big and trying to maneuver in too much traffic. You need a smaller body with shiftiness and elusiveness to navigate more efficiently in traffic. harvin was the prime example. If DK got injured on a play like that this place would meltdown. Use DK for his straightline speed and one on one matchup advantages - not for behind the line gimmicks in traffic. The Eskridge's of the roster are better suited for those types of plays.
