Uggghhhh facing 2 lefties next 2 games so Scott is gonna have him riding the bench. NO GIVE HIM STARTS AGAINST LEFTIES. BE SHOCKED IF HE IS PLAYING TOMORROW.
JP
Julio
Geno
Teo
France
Murphy
Caballero
Moore

Still need a 9th bat. Hopefully they reward Marlowe and give him the nod, at least for tomorrow. He’ll at least get in later in the game as a pinch hitter

That's what it should be tomorrow Sux Moore will get the nod over Marlowe. We face back to back lefties. If Marlowe struggles tomorrow then he sits against the next lefty. Better give him a shot

I've watched every game this year and count an easy 8 games that we should have won but coughed up due to not coming thru or poor pen performance (like Brash in DET and Munoz in CLE) AT LEAST 8 games. You could go to 15 if you're really severe about it. 8 is just being conservative.

65-44, that should be our record. We'd have a 2.5 gm lead in the West rn
I don't understand what you mean by should, not coming through is basically why every team loses games isn't it?
Well yeah. Those 8 gms are only games in which we had a lead and coughed it up in the 8th or 9th, or were in a tie game and had a chance to score in the 8th or 9th and didn't only to lose in extras. So that's why I say SHOULD. Those games were literally in our HANDS and we let them slip

Well, should you be counting this win then lol?

Cause it's not one we should have won.

Yeah, games they could have won, not should have won. Again, every team has those games, it's whats separates good teams from the mediocre

1 run, they walk Ohtani to keep the lead. If the offense can do more than 1 run, no need to walk him. Hard to blame woo, he has had a great game
Woo was badass tonight. If you told me he'd limit the Angels to 2 runs on 4 hits through 6 innings, I'd take that EVERY game. It's not his fault this offense sucks. You can't pitch goose eggs forever. Excellent excellent game!

With what Cade Marlowe is doing thru his first 12 games... I'm stricken by the knowledge that this kid was never a "top prospect", never rated in the "top 100," and barely cracked the M's top 10 prospects coming into the season.

Sure he's 26 and he was drafted in the 20th round, but what? Analysts can't look at everything he does well -- from his speed and defense to his ability to hit and hit for power while using the whole field -- and give him a rating that he deserves?
It's why all of these so-called scouts and Baseball America writers are so full of shit. Just biased fans jacking up the stock of the 1 percent while ignoring the other 99 percent working their tails off at getting better day-in and day-out.

I love stories like Marlowe's and Devin Sweet's. It's cool to have these types of dudes on the M's team again.

Same here - I chose a decent sleep over the 2:30am start.

Gutted but delighted. Go Ms....

It happens, Robinson Cano was never ranked in the top 100 prospects
