Landers is hurt too?? He is/was one of those sleeper guys. He's like 6'5" and runs a 4.37 or some insanity.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 11:44 pmLanders own injury killed his chances. doctors online chiming in, saying it could be an avulsion fracture, which is simple and could just be a week or two, but more likely is a small fracture that is more in the 4-8 week range.
If there's a bright side, I think Bobo and Landers might step up big if given a chance.

Yep injuries galore even with the UDFAs. I think if I was one of them I would fight through it. That is why RB Thompson got a shot. Koback got injured.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 1:05 amLanders is hurt too?? He is/was one of those sleeper guys. It’s been portrayed as if McIntosh will be available for the regular season. If he isn’t, that could change things. Bryant Koback played well Week 1 but missed the Dallas game due to injury, and SaRodorick Thompson has played well in both games, with 64 yards on 14 carries. Figure at least one to make the practice squad, and one or both could be a consideration to be on the 53 if McIntosh isn’t ready.

Well, if Seahawks were currently in the playoffs, I'd expect him to put a cast on it and head back out. So there's that.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:29 amBroken bone is probably a poor example though, I'll admit that.trharder wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 9:34 pmInteresting take.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 5:49 pm
I think first of all, we are closer to this situation than any other. There are more than likely fans of every NFL team saying the same thing. Second? I think that now a days? They don't play through as much, teams and the league are scared or retribution and they have better technology. A broken bone in the wrist for a rookie WR in 2023 was probably labeled a sore wrist twenty years ago, if not ten years ago.

I used to think that kid, Sambo, was pretty cool. He had enough brains to turn the Tiger into butter. He was kind of a hero! And I hope the Commanders change their name back to Redskins!

Maybe you remember across the street from that Sambo's there was another franchise with an unfortunate name - Herfy's Burgers. And behind that there was a Ralph's supermarket.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 3:30 pmFunny, I golfed at Jackson many times in the 80s but it was already gone....1st casualty of political correctness...Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 4:06 amYeah i remember that place. Everybody loved McDonalds when I was a kid but I was a super picky eater and only wanted Ketchup only. We had to wait 15 minutes at McDonalds for that special order so my parent said no way let's go to Herfy's instead. There was also a Jimbos in Lynnwood that was great.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Aug 23, 2023 3:49 pmMaybe you remember across the street from that Sambo's there was another franchise with an unfortunate name - Herfy's Burgers. Excellent point. Tough position to play with a cast on your wrist though. LOL. I am sure going to be interested to see what the recovery time is expected to be.
