Odd timing though right? Would we have not wanted cap flexibility before all the FAs signed?
Exactly. Who is available that would be an upgrade over Reed???
well there is an internet rumor that Vita Vea might be on the trade block... and his 2023 salary is about 6.5m.

Vincent Vega? They just restructured his contact, do you do that and then trade him?

If this is true this could be a real game changer for seattle - that is exactly what the defense needs - a real mauler in the middle. Vea takes up space and eats up multiple blockers - always wanted to see him in Seattle. Adding someone like him - assuming he is healthy and productive, could possibly elevate seattle over SF in the division - I think he could have that kind of impact not only production wise, but what he would open up for other players around him, especially the LB group to protect the gaps and make tackles. A total chris clemmons type - that presence in the middle is just what the defense desperately needs.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they will not be a trade within 50 hours of the first game.

It should be noted that the $6.6 mil in cap space saved this year will be added to Adams' cap hits in '24 and '25.
