Championship season game thread. Down with the Hams
Re: Championship season game thread. Down with the Hams
It doesn’t matter who our QB is if we can’t pressure the passer. My mother would have been able to throw effectively against us today We just looked slow and sluggish in all phases

It's just beyond baffling. A team with K-9, Metcalf, Lockett and JSN as weapons, against a low-rated group of DBs, in good weather, and in 2023 got 3 yards of total offense in the second half. They couldn't even get garbage-time courtesy yards. No other team is going to even approach doing that against anyone this season. Even the third-string QB for the Atlanta Falcons wouldn't have a half like that.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 11:57 pmI actually feel like it was lost at the end of the 2nd quarter. We have them on the ropes, and what the fuck Waldron was thinking on a second and five run play to DJ Dallas I'll never fucking figure out. Geno sucked, DK is a fucking idiot, the entire defense should be ashamed of themselves. But Pete, Waldron and the entire defensive coaching staff might need to stop blowing sunshine up these motherfuckers asses, start coming up with a game plan that might have a chance, and get some dudes that fly around. That was disgusting.
Someone tell me a game 1 under Carroll, at fucking HOME no less, where we looked this lifeless? The master motivator, Wagner back in Blue and Green, everyone's pre season darling, and we looked like Urban Meyer was coaching us. Again, they can't tackle, they can't block, but now all of a sudden we can't cover a Rookie WR from BYU and a guy named after a Ballet Dancer's dress!? Seriously. This team should be flat out embarrased.
But, I imagine the fans take this MUCH harder then the guys getting paid millions to play a game. End the end? It's a game? How do I know? My son and I look like we are about to go to a family member's funeral on the couch, and they show a guy chatting up DK with a huge grin on his face and DK lounging back on the bench wondering how soon he can get back on the field so he can cheap shot someone. I have a feeling I am not going to enjoy watching this team play football.
Our best offensive weapon is K 9. In a game we lead at the half, how many touches did he get in the second half? I watched the RedZone from pretty much the middle of the 3rd quarter on. I didn't do that when Russ was out with a finger injury and we KNEW we were going to lose. That was ZERO fun to watch. I've decided it isn't worth the pain. Then? I'd think, what if? Turn it back and REALLY wish I hadn't. Gonna be a long year fellas.

Barkley still a big part of the Giants offense, down 26. We fall behind the Fucking Rams by one? Walker might as well have gone to the showers. Crazy.
The Atlanta coach probably wins this game today, because he woulda kept running it! LOL

I thought a strength of the team this year was going to be the pass rush, but Jalen Carter had more sacks than the Seahawks today.
Anyone know how long Cross is expected to be out, because without him it appears the offense is going to be unable to do much of anything.
Good Lord this was an awful start to the season. Maybe Carroll should consider an early retirement because whatever they did the past two weeks to prepare for this game was just not up to snuff.

We haven't looked like this week one since Dennis Erickson. And I remember the opposing team mentioning that was the least prepared team he has ever seen. So that's saying a lot.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 1:55 amI thought a strength of the team this year was going to be the pass rush, but Jalen Carter had more sacks than the Seahawks today.

Two off seasons, and one full season plus a game of this God Damn 3 - 4 Defense, and we still have no clue what we are doing.

I wonder why they didn't let DK be a Team Captain this year.
He seems like a level-headed guy.

Sure happy we dodged that bulletJalen Carter recorded 6 pressures and a sack on 32 pass rushes in his NFL debut, tied for the most pressures by any rookie defensive tackle in a game over the last five seasons.#PHIvsNE | #FlyEaglesFly

Cross has a sprained big toe and Lucas has had a "knee issue" that got sore during the game.
Doesn't appear either are super serious.
