I just watched this an have an opinion on him but curious what you would grade him from 1-10. I am far from and expert on this and am curious if my grade aligns with yours. Thanks.

Doesn't seem to be playing badly, see him getting double, even triple teamed

After a dominant performance against New England on Sunday, there was a close eye on Jalen Carter to see what he could do on only three days rest. Unsurprisingly, he continued to terrorize offensive linemen. Even on limited snaps, Carter looked disruptive and notched a beautiful tackle for a loss on a run play. He is simply too fast and strong for the average NFL guard. While he did not have the pass rushing production he had against the Patriots, Carter showed his value as a three down defender. The defense is must-watch TV when he is on the field.

Yeah decent but nothing great outside of the TFL. I would give him a 6.

Witherspoon's turn in two days.

I did not see any terrorization. Disruption maybe but terror, no.

Think I'd give him more than a six due to the attention he demands. That was how Kennedy would get played

Maybe so. It is amazing the amount of energy D linemen exert usually with no reward. No wonder Sack dances evolved. Finally reaching the promised land!

Offensive linemen get even less recognition, all they get is criticism for screwing up

apples and oranges. Jalen Carter is a top-tier talent. The question is whether he's a ticking time bomb of stupidity. If he has an All-Pro rookie season, then does something dumbass that gets him thrown out of the league year 2, while Witherspoon has a 10 year career of pretty good CB play, which would you prefer?

Not saying or predicting either or both will happen. That's just why Carter wasn't considered, even though he was clearly the guy we needed.

Pete wants to create a team of like-minded people, not a bunch of talented individuals. Carter is the most talented, but not Seahawk material (PC/JS Seahawks anyway).

Earl, Sherm, Marshawn, and Michael B weren't exactly like-minded were they?
