“Well I didn’t have enough [rules] and that’s where I made my big mistake,” he said. “The boys began tackling, kicking and punching in the clinches. They ended up in a free-for-all in the middle of the gym floor. Before I could pull them apart, one boy was knocked out, several of them had black eyes and one had a dislocated shoulder. It certainly was murder.
“Well after that first match I was sure they’d kill each other, but they kept nagging me to let them play again, so I made up some more rules. The most important one was that there should be no running with the ball. That stopped tackling and slugging. We tried out the game with those rules and we didn’t have one casualty. We had a fine, clean sport.”

Yep! We are headed to Springfield next weekend for a dog show. About a two hour drive to Western MA. One of the hardest things for me to get used to here is that going away from the Coast is going West instead of East. It is really a mind bender.

They look dumber than a bag of hammers but probably would put today's Ivy Leaguers to shame in a contest of wits.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:18 pmI am sure they are but given the current state of college students it has been downgraded to a Snowflake encounter.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Oct 21, 2023 7:15 pmPrinceton had a traditional snowball fight, are they still holding it?

Re: Injury updates
Those must've been some seriously hard snowballs. They look like they stepped into the ring against Rocky Marciano.
