Game over

49'ers are for real. Hawks are frauds.
Oops.
Hey, Hawks showed grit and were the better team tonight. Their test is far from over. Let's see them continue this before we crown them SB champs.

to fire up the PC debate again... I was looking over an article on Jason Garrett. I feel obligated to keep up on Cowboys stuff being my brother lives in Texas and is a fan, not fair to just toss Hawk stuff at him all the time. BTW, this was his text after the game, "You can't give Russell Wilson 3 chances to win. He is in a zone.". Anyway back to Garrett, its a deal on how they need to fire him, and it seems right along the same lines as why we need to fire PC, he is too stubborn and stuck in the past, he is always falling behind in games early, the whole deal. And there was even a thing about comparing him to Belichick.
Seemingly, Garrett hasn’t placed much weight on the methods by with the Patriots have reached the conference championship every year since 2000 (or maybe it just feels that way). Bill Belichick and his Patriots’ sustained success has come about because of their willingness to adapt their approach, sometimes substantially, to their personnel and to the other team (unlike what Belichick did in Cleveland). Yes, they have had Tom Brady, but over the past two decades, they have won with conservative offensive play and great defense, with balanced offensive play and good defense, and with throw-it-all-the-time offense and mediocre defense.
It just seems unfair to me to claim PC doesn't adapt. Yea, he works with a certain model but I think he is pretty savvy in terms of adapting to his personnel. This is not the same kind of team we had five year ago. And he doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, he isn't going to go wacky on you half way through a game because he is behind, he has confidence in his system, and it tends to deliver wins, but he will adjust to what he has at hand. That to me is his strength, he has confidence in his system but its more about understanding your personnel than it is forcing the system. He is what, only three coaches to have both won a National championship and a SB, to me that is how he does it.

And its no big deal, replace him if you want. I remember when Mcvey was the young hotshot couple seasons ago, it was all about how we needed to get rid of PC and get a guy like him. I just wonder how easy it be to replace PC, get a guy that understands how to churn out wins like PC does

who said anything about crowning them SB champs?...but love the strawman. A division title be sweet, conference title be sweeter...its going to be interesting, lot of football left, i think the issue at hand was you calling the season over

So the hell what? It's my opinion. I still think they're one and done in the playoffs. Some of you forum posters sure do get your panties in a wad when someone says something you don't like (wrong or not...I can admit when I'm wrong though).

Just saw a power ranking from CBS Sports. Must be a mistake...the Niners fell three spots, the Seahawks FELL 1 spot!?

not that it matters, CBS is based on a single writer, Pete Prisco, ESPN moved the Hawks up six spots to four, 49ers at two, again not that it matters

I just got done reading this entire thread. LOL.....I loved how all the naysayers were saying the game and season was OVER at 10-0.

Ridiculous. How many of you are REALLY Seahawks fans and have been watching Russell for the past 8 years? You'd know to never ever ever count the dude out of any game.....ever.

Saying the Hawks will only win 1 more game is equally stupid.

There's a reason people consider Russell Wilson an MVP candidate. While No. 3 was once again mostly commanding a run-first offense, and while he threw what could've been a game-changing pick late in the fourth, he also showed Jimmy Garoppolo what franchise-caliber QB play looks like -- and then some. Behind an iffy line, facing one of the most fearsome pass rushes in the league, Wilson was his trademark self, eluding defender after defender to extend plays, manufacture two go-ahead scores and just look absurdly comfortable from start to finish, including at the end of OT with both the Niners and, occasionally, the refs against him.
Garoppolo literally looked like he was going to start crying several times. He needed his porn star GF to hold him close to her massive bosoms and tell him everything was going to be ok.

Yeah, that whole Ifedi play still has me scratching my head.
It was bad for a few reasons:

1. Carson just ripped them for 6 yards... we had momentum and a lead while the 49ers offense looked inept... hand him the ball again and run clock then pass for it on 3rd if you have to.

2. Russ, who is typically aware, did not see or feel the corner blitz that ultimately caused the pressure and fumble... Carson also needs to commit to that block and didn't... that said, Russ needs to just fall to his knees and take the sack with that lead.

3. If you look at the play, the ball is stripped and lands in Ifedi's arms... Russ didn't hand it off... Ifedi, securing the ball, needs to know that in a situation with a lead you just fall down... don't compound mistakes.

4. Ifedi also blew his block on the play... man, he's just never gonna get it, will he?
Yep four massive mistakes by four different guys. Always better to have a teaching moment in a win though. I can't believe how many people thought Ifedi took the ball from him though. It was obvious to me what happened live. And I often need replay for that type of thing. I sure did on DK getting stripped.
