Evansville scored 11 more tallies in beating Fucktucky than the Huskies did tonight.

Evansville's coach is former Kentucky Wildcat Walter McCarty. He won a NC with Kentucky and he was born in Evansville. Crazy.

I noticed Stewart and Carter were getting a little too excited about their dunks and blocks. They need to get out of AAU mode.

I guess the one consolation is that Mt. St. Mary's isn't your typical cupcake. They actually led Georgetown by 12 at halftime in their first game.

Just dug a little deeper on that. Georgetown beat Central Arkansas by 11. Duke beat Central Ark. 105-54, Baylor beat Central Ark. 105-61. So is MSM pretty good or is Georgetown not very good. 1st 30 minutes last night were probably just a weird aberration.

Probably a little of both.

I think our guys are just over amped and haven't had time to gel at all as a team yet. I am confidant that Hop will get them in gear I just hope it happens sooner rather than later because if we play like that against Gonzaga we are going to get our doors blown off.

When you can play defense like we do you can beat anyone. They will get more consistency on offense as they get more comfortable together. Hop said this week that he thinks Quade is still learning the offense. That does make some sense as I am unsure how much work he got with the #1s before they found out he was actually going to play before the Conference season started.
