Curious who you think will be the QB next year.

I voted Geno, but am having second thoughts there. This could get interesting. I really kind of wish we had lost to Tennessee and Arizona and moved up in the first round. That said, I was never high on Will Levis going into last year, and besides when he first came off the bench his first game? He never really gave anyone a reason to be high on him this year. Rookie QBs scare me. Bryce Young is brutal, IMO. He was the first damn pick. So was Trevor Lawrence, and Trevor looks like he is closer to being the cover model for Romance Novels than he is an elite QB.

The thing is, these guys don't get to FA anymore though. What is the last big one, Cousins? Before that was it Drew Brees, or did he get traded? Stafford was a trade. I guess Brady was a FA, but that was after what, 20 or so seasons in New England? It's pretty rare that a FA guy is worth what the salary would entail.

PFF has the top four as Cousins, Mayfield, Tannehill and Minshew. No thanks. Cousins is the only one I would want, and that dude is going to be spendy.

They will one hundred percent draft a QB this year. They might keep Geno around for the transition.

Re-sign Lock to a cheap, 1-year deal... draft a QB.

Let them battle it out at camp... if the rookie is developed enough, start him. If not, start Lock for a season and then roll w. the rookie when he's ready.

That $30 million due to Geno in '24 is going to be essential for roster construction moving forward. They're likely going to have to replace 2x safeties, 2x offensive linemen, add a defensive tackle, figure out the linebacker situation... that's a lot of money that needs to be spread around.

They may keep Geno on a string until after the draft. There are many good QB's coming out so it is likely they will draft one. If one of the top five or six are not available, my hope is that Odunze will be available and they snap him up and resign Geno. Then load up in the draft on OL and DL players.

That's my thought. So Geno will play another season.

Unless the new coach plans on tanking (not likely) they're going with Geno another year.

Yeah, this is an opportunity to beef up the trenches and start fresh. There are so many good tackles on this draft, which is rare. We could definitely use one plus some much needed Guard depth. Take a shot on Spencer Rattler or Michael Pratt late in the draft.

D Tackles? They aren't moving on from Cross and Lucus. Lucus was good when healthy and I am sure he will be in 8 months.

There's a couple of D-tackles, but not any game changers. Guys that can be had in the 3rd round.
