It easily could have been, the latest being that his not having a job is because everyone is running from racism. While he's at it he should go to Social Security and legally change his name to Malcolm Luther Tubman.

I missed all but one of Sherm's PIs against AZ, but the one I saw looked exactly like the no call against us.

My biggest regret in the game we beat them was the RW pick. Hollister was open and he would have caught it. The defender made a great play to pick it and of course RW under threw it a little. If you watch the reply, Sherm was standing two yards deep in the endzone and would have been the only chance to prevent Hollsiter from scoring. I wanted to see what was going to happen there. We'll never know.

That was a great play. 99% of the time when you see a Linebacker chasing a reciever with his numbers to the QB there is no way he is going to get his head around and find the ball. I can't blame Russ for thinking he could thread that in there. The guy just played the ball like a corner and made an unexpected play.

They arranged it. Refused to let the media attend it. Wouldn't let Kaepernick's team record it and they were going to privately distribute the video among league executives. So yeah.. suspicious. That's why He changed the venue.

Sounds like there are several attorneys that felt some of the wording the NFL sent Kap was fishy as well, some calling it a Trojan Horse. Very strange....the article I read was a little hard to follow, but I sure don't understand what the NFL was thinking here. Why set the workout up and then be this weird about it? Let him try out, have it at a time during the week that actual decision makers can be there (not a freaking Saturday), send him the normal waiver that you use, not one "based on the waiver used" as I have read.

Note the phrase “based on the waiver used by National Invitational Camp at all NFL Combines”. Two words – “based on” – are very interesting.

Here’s why the league had to include them: The NFL used an outside law firm to craft the release for this event. Despite the suggestion in its release, it didn’t use typical language in liability waivers. Instead, it went a step further and created its own.

Why? I’m willing to bet that it had everything to do with inserting clauses that could allow the NFL to evade future litigation tied to employment claims.

Why complicate this? Give him every opportunity. Then if a team signs him the story if over, and if he isn't good enough, hopefully the story is over also. But, the NFL looks bad here.

In the middle of this supposedly generous (and unprecedented!) offer to give Kaepernick a league-hosted workout, the lawyers slipped clauses into a liability release that would create a foothold to fight against litigation under state and federal employment laws.

I believe this is the answer to why the NFL put this workout together. It created multiple outcomes that could all be weaponized against the league’s Kaepernick problem.

That is just one man's opinion...but still. There was no reason to make this so complicated.

So there was video for the public to see and so the media was allowed. You take that away and the narrative would have been "How bad he looked".

Not sure it was the venue as much as it was he didn't want to sign that waiver?
